Default Official Miguel Cabrera Thread

There will probably be very few of us posting in this thread but I know there's some other Miggy collectors on this site and I want to see their collections. I'll start with some of mine.

The classics:

Love Miggy. Here's a sketch card I drew of him.

I'll post some photos of mine later, but it'll be nice to connect with fellow Miggy collectors. Right now with a limited budget I'm working on his Marlin uniform stuff from 01 - 07 (but mostly just my favorite-looking designs/photos. This being said, I've gone in heavily to his recent tek stuff, so if any of you have a beat on some rarities let me know!

I bought this card because it reminds me of Trout's tremendous 2012 rookie campaign and Miguel's triple crown! Miguel was a beast!!!!

And we've found the 5 Tigers fans on the forum :P

Can anyone get me an empty bottle of James Buchanan's scotch signed by Miggy? That would be the only Miggy memorabilia I need in my life.

Already seeing some great stuff. Those Topps Traded Autos are one of my dream cards. I think they're still incredibly undervalued, especially when compared to recent stars.

I have been dying to get my hands on one of these. They never pop up anymore.

That is so awesome. Bucket list card for me is to get one of him and Trout together.

He's still dirt cheap considering what he's accomplished. His regular Topps Traded PSA 10 is going for a little over $200 now.

Vlad Jr. NNO Topps PSA 10s are around $150 at the moment. There's more Vlad 10s than Miggy's. Now tell me who sounds like a better deal?

Nice! I haven't looked it up in a while. I spent about $80 on mine and was worried at the time lol

Yeah, he's been ticking up but still has a ways to go, imo. Pujols has started to take off. Seems like Miggy would be next once Pujols prices get crazy.

I've been trying to get a Pujols RC but haven't yet.

Now that he's achieved the three big milestones he's been chasing, there should be less attention on him for a bit. Probably this season and two or three years after he retires will be the sweet spot to get one cheaper.

I love it. I don’t have a huge Miggy collection, but I try to pick up rare cards when I can. I’m particularly focused on Chrome refractors limited to 25 or less. So, basically orange refractors are the highest print run I go for.

I missed out on two superfractors recently, but I was able to grab the 2019 Bowman Chrome recently to go with the 2015 Topps Chrome.

Happy Miggy finally has a thread because I always love to see what other people have. Noticed a couple in here already that I need to pickup still. Miggy has been my favorite player since 2006 and as a Tigers fan I was thrilled when he was traded to Detroit prior to the 2008 season. I was away from collecting for about 20 years and just picked it up last season. Only buying Miggy here and there but now I’ve focused solely on him with some vintage sprinkled in. If any of you are on Instagram let me know. My handle there is the same as here.

Miggy, great hitter. Used to go with my kids to Spring Training to watch him hit on the practice fields. Always one of the last players to leave the facility. Got his autograph through the Detriot Tigers "Autographs for a Cause", way back, probably 2011 or 2012.
