Default Got shipped a trimmed Kobe

Got shipped a trimmed Bowman’s best rookie. Left side is rough from a cut and when compared to another card in the set, it is shorter. Obviously going to return it. Has anyone had a problem returning a trimmed card? I ask because it’s very difficult to take pictures that prove without a doubt the trim job.

I haven't ever returned one, but take a picture of it against a similar card with contrasting colors. Sorry to see this happened!

I also was shipped a trimmed card 2 years ago and I only noticed it when I put it in a one touch case. I took measurements and photos with the card inside the one touch case and sent it to the seller.

You mean you couldnt tell from the scans? Im just kidding I feel you but this is the response I got from some people when I posted that I recently received a trimmed card. You cant necessarily tell from scans. But when you take a loupe and look at how both edges are cut differently when magnifying at 12x you can clearly see the difference something a scan might not be able to tell you due to the resolution. If its trimmed message the seller first. He might have bought the set that way. I dont want to automatically blame the seller they might truly not have known any better. Let us know how he handles it.

I tend to swim in the shallow waters when it comes to cards so I figured I wouldn’t have to worry about trimming. Wrong.

Won’t give the sellers name yet. He truly might not have known. I’ll contact him and if I get crap back I’ll let the board know.

And who knows what one looks like unless you have some practice with this

I though I scored gold when I got it. The front was pristine. Then I turned it over...

Thank you. If you are highly suspicious, please do. You will be doing the forums, the collectors a great service.

Seller was pretty upset that I mentioned it was trimmed. He thought I was accusing him of trimming which I wasn’t. Truly believe he didn’t do it and he had no idea he was selling it trimmed. He gave me a deep discount on it. Guess it’s going in my PC now. If you see a Kobe Bowman’s best rookie on eBay in 50 years from Green Bay, chances are your buying a trimmed copy from my son.

As long as you're happy with the outcome then it's all good. Really there isn't too much the seller could do anyways except at least get good feedback from you now .

Yeah I left him good feedback. He made it right and I’m positive it wasn’t him who trimmed. At least I now have a story to go with the card.

I returned a trimmed Dr J RC last year. But I positioned it as "the card measures short, and I am not sure why but I would prefer one that measures like it should" that made it a little better I think.

I find this backwards I’m sorry it shouldn’t matter if he gave you a deep discount or not ..if you are truly against trimmed you return it for a refund but since it was practically free

Now it’s ok?

Given the choice I wouldn't buy it ever but if he gave me a good discount there are still key players in that set.

Yes and no. Not going to resell it. Who knows what happens to it if I send it back. He could have a different opinion and chuck it back out on the market. For $10, I’ll take it.

If you knowingly are selling trimmed cards and not labeling it as trimmed, that is the bigger issue.
