Default Chicago Bulls "The Last Dance"

Figured we should have a thread dedicated to the Last Dance documentary.

Seems like it's mentioned in various threads in different regards (content, pricing of Bulls/MJ stuff, reminiscing about Da Bulls, just wanting something new to watch, etc...) so thought we could all just discuss here.

I mean, ESPN created a separate subheading for it under the NBA tab.

Anyway, I'm really looking forward to it!

I am only interested if they bring up the real reasons for his first retirement and all the circumstances around that. The rest I don't care for. I grew up in that era and was never a Jordan or Bulls fan. As far as highlights, I feel like they have been replayed by EPSN every chance they can get. He was way over exposed during that era.

Don’t bother watching then. Don’t think you can possibly have too much exposure of the greatest professional athlete in the history of sports. You must vomit at the attention players get today.

I just want a segment about the Mafia hitman that killed his father.
What? This is offensive to you Jordan fan?

I do have some Jordan chewing gum still in the pack. Aged properly. Nearly 30 years.

They aren’t bringing up the real reason/s, whatever they may be, in the doc. For real? I’m not trying to be a jerk, but this doc is about the 98’ season. Which has nothing to do with his first retirement at this point. You actually think we will ever know what really happened? We might find out who killed JFK before we find out what happened with Mjs first retirement.

Overexposed isn’t the word I would use. It was the greatest run in modern day basketball that may never be replicated. Are you a Pistons fan?

Does anyone know if MJ had creative control or the last word on the content for TLD?

ESPN says MJ gave a crew access during the 1998 season but I haven't read anything about him being a producer.

He was not a producer, but did not want to have it released. Word is, his camp wants it released now as many youngins today aren't aware of his greatness, so he's wanting to show them who the real Goat is.

The fact that he didn't want this released because of how raw it shows how he was has me SUPER intrigued. All of those old school VHS videos show MJ as this lovable super hero. I want to see badass dark MJ who would make me kinda not like him a little because of how much of an ass he is lol.

Hope it kinda goes like this!:

You’re not kidding. A month ago PSA 8 Pippen Fleer rookies were selling for $44. Now they’re $225-$250. Just watched a raw one go for $82. Wish I was thinking about this a month ago especially since Pip is one of my favorite players from that decade next to Penny.
