Have an opportunity to buy this and not well versed on the fakes of this card, any help from the community would be appreciated...

Serial number and signature look correct to me. I would say it is good to go.

Looks good to me too. I love these 91 & 92 Score Mantle autos.

The auto looks a little faded, but it's the real deal.

I've been stuck indoors and doing some scanning to fill in the time. I just scanned these in recently so I figured I would share my copy so you can compare.

Whoever did the serial numbering on those has amazing penmanship.

Agreed with everyone above - all indications are good.

I have been looking for a good copy of the triple auto for several years.

At one point we had all four autos in our shop. From just a great cards standpoint those might be the 4 cards I wish I had back the most.

Agree with slightly faded hence my purchase price likely being a little lower, do these continue to fade and have issues or if I tuck away it should stay solid?

The auto is 28 years old I would not discount it a penny

You should probably pony up and yes of you keep it out of light and in a one touch you’ll be good

Agreed!

Sometimes a sloppy hand-written serial number detracts from a card's eye appeal. This penmanship does the exact opposite.

You just need to keep it away from UV or sunlight from this point forward. Great find.

My first-ever, pack-pulled auto, was the Stan Musial from this set/series. Considering that I was 15 at the time & Score packs were $.60 (if I recollect, correctly),...selling the card to our local garbage man for TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS, was an extremely huge/profitable "flip", for me!

I wonder how many of the early-90s autos are still floating around in the thousands and thousands of unopened cases out there

On the packs/boxes it says "Win" an autograph. Were they still pack inserted?

Yes, they just worded it differently back then.

Can’t get more real than that unless you had a card personally sign by the Mick yourself.
