I remember watching it and I think it was because they cut into another game to show the last inning.

My jaw hit the floor when the ball left the bat and I think my head exploded when he came up with that catch. That is why i love baseball.

Haha me either but I was definitely rooting for him. Almost got to see a perfect game in Detroit, but a dude named Joyce screwed that one up. I'm still bitter. Short of Galarraga dropping the ball, you call the dude out. Miggy play your position and cover the bag. I'm just a little bitter haha.

No prob.

As far as coming up just short, I'll always think of Mussina and Carl Everett.

Saw the game in person. Nobody would take the extra three tickets I had. Scored it in my book. Greatest baseball experience of my life.

To this day, and I say this because I sat down the 3rd base line, I don't know how Kapler's ball stayed in the park, and I don't know how Wise caught it.

I remembering tuning in when MLB Network starting playing it live. So glad I was home at that time. As SGC said, my head also almost exploded when Wise made that catch. A memory I will never forget.

I was at that game! Best game I've ever attended in person, without a doubt.

Unfortunately, my "ticket stub" is a printout from the Internet; I purchased the tickets for me and 2 co-workers off of Stubhub or Ticketmaster the day before to "play hooky" on a nice Thursday afternoon. Buehrle was working so fast, we barely had time for a hot dog and a beer . . .

The best part about the whole thing is the expression on Buehrle's face the first time they cut to him after Wise makes the catch. He's not pumped up or excited that HE is going to get credit for anything. It's as if he had resigned his fate to the baseball gods and when Kapler swatted that meatball he knew that the little voice in the back of his head that had been telling him not to get too excited all day, that "it's probably not going to happen," was correct and he was already okay with it.

But then Wise made the catch and it occurred to him, "this IS going to happen. I can't believe this. I actually don't believe what I just saw." It's just a great a moment captured from a great guy who deserved to have it all come together that day, with some historic help from his teammates.

I do love the fact that Wise just came into the game in the 9th inning. Sometimes the little things in baseball are huge.

He still pops up occasionally, but it’s super rare to see him. Haven’t seen him in a while which sucks because I liked him

Jose Tabata is the biggest bush leaguer of all time for the stunt he pulled against Scherzer.
