Panini has found a way to legally print money. Good for them. We all wish we could do the same.

I just saw that too. F’ing incredible they’ll look to monetize this insane bull run of cards but can’t seem to take 5 minutes to fill loyal hobby members redemptions from 2013, etc. capitalism at its finest.

I’m (as are many of you) very intrigued about what’s going to happen when the stupid money leaves the market.

Thinking of selling my C.J. McCollum base Prizm PSA 10 to put toward this. Figure with the way things are going, C.J. should be worth 7-8k by tomorrow.

I'm fine with it going Dutch. It will end way less but this allows Panini to maximize what they make rather than having a bot grab it for a flip.

Unless Panini decides to find a way to give the average collector (whatever that is) a chance to grab normal priced stuff, Dutch it all as far as I'm concerned.

Do they go out of their way to make these access cards as poorly designed as possible?

Exact thought. Were the NT design guys on vacation or something?

Shoot, I'd even take the Encased guys...

Awesome that they are going to make bank with Zion - we all do, but at least make an effort. Maybe even instruct him to center his auto, take more than 3 seconds spelling the word Zanos, so on and so forth....

Don't mind me, I'm just bitter my 2 year son can't rip Impeccable for under $1,000 anymore...He uses the silver as a teething ring...

(I have no children, mostly thankfully)

some of those handmade 1/1 Zion's on ebay made by 9 year olds have more appeal than this card.

Disappointing, they couldn’t be bothered to put diamonds, rubies and gold bars on that card?

Ugly card.

But I’d be ripping my wallet out if it said “Lizzo” instead of whatever the heck “Zanos” is.

A bot looking to flip? The Ja Morant was priced $5k until they lowered it to 4. The Zion would have been at least $10k before tax. How many have a credit card that can take a charge over $10k? Even at ONLY $10k to just break even after tax and ebay fees you'd have to sell it for $12.5k. Where is there room for a flip?

I can’t get over his auto. I’d prefer a squiggle to the “Zion W” written in 4th grade cursive.

The flip was a reference to them pricing it reasonably, in theory, then having a bot get it for a flip. Dutch reduces the flipability of it combined with the high price.

I've bought Panini instant cards the last 2 years. There has not been a single "reasonably" priced Zion. They have jacked up the prices so high on everything since basketball season started the ones worth buying are very few and far between. Last year I think every single solo Luka 1/1 auto was $1100 or less. I don't think Zion has had an auto no matter what it is numbered to for that price or less. Burrow and Tua 1/1 combine cards were $300 the other day. Lamar Jackson just won the MVP and his combine Panini Instant 1/1 has been listed on ebay and not bought for $400.

Going forward it doesn't really look like Panini store will have anything reasonably priced. Certainly nothing worth having at msrp. Judging by the price on those first Burrow and Tua cards I can't wait for Dutch auction for Prizm and Contenders Draft Picks Football starting at $750 a box.
