This has a very 2009 A&G feel to it, and I love it. That was my favorite year of Ginter aesthetically speaking

It reminds me of the 2011 Kimball champions insert set / 2009. It looks good.. but not in love with those massive borders.

They absolutely nailed it on the auto/relic/insert design
Having said that i may pick up singles but have pretty much stopped buying this in wax form out side of a random box or blaster (maybe 1 every 1-2 years lol) as it has not treated me well for the past ten years or so All in on Ginter X though ![]() ![]() |

Meh.....design is pretty much the same as every other year of Ginter.
Product should have been retired several years ago. |

Gorgeous design. I love it.
Question for any AG experts: Given you get three hits per box, any idea how many autos per box that typically works out? I'd guess one auto and two other hits, but I'm curious if anyone has done some research here. Also, how's the ROI on regular Ginter compared to Ginter X? I broke about six cases of Ginter X and they were a constant money maker at $70 or so per box. How does regular Ginter do at about $100 per? Thanks guys |

X has a limited print run. So there’s value in any Rookies, with the 2017 Judge selling at $30 at one time. Up until this past year you could sell the mini X cards at a couple bucks each. And then the red and silver parallels. Finally the autos numbered /25.
For regular Ginter, nearly all the relics are worthless and most of the autos are not worth much. Furthermore, the base cards and inserts don’t sell well. It’s a fun product, but not at all a money maker. |

Unfortunately, Ginter has never guaranteed an auto in every box. I'd buy a ton more if it did.

Imagine a design so good that it is done over and over again for 14 years running ... and it was taken from among the first baseball card sets ever!
I'll always love Allen & Ginter. It still amazes me that one of the most popular releases each year is actually a remake of quite possibly the first nationally distributed color baseball card set ever nearly 150 years ago. Topps does a good job with changing up the design a bit, but it is undeniable that the original timeless design from the 1800s is the design engine. Kudos to the 19th century A&G designers, and kudos to Topps for continuing its legacy! ![]()
