I was fortunate to find (what I thought) a really clean SGC 6 Gretzky Topps RC. Owning mostly PSA cards I decided to cross it over. I never checked off the “no qualifier” box and was somewhat bummed to see this get designated with one. Curious if anyone here thinks it’s worth it to resubmit or am I better off just leaving as is?
All in all, I was expecting a 6 maybeee a 7. Pics below. ![]() ![]() |

well, if you selected no qualifier, it would've brought the grade down most likely to a PSA 6. matter of personal preference. however, id be willing to bet a PSA 8OC would bring a slight premium over a straight 6 for this card. I would just leave it.

I agree. There is a vast range of defects that could contribute to a PSA 6 grade, whereas an 8 O/C (IMO) is a superior card. I'd leave it alone unless you feel confident in getting back a 7.

PSA would have given it a 7 rather than an 8(OC) if they thought it deserved that. They must have judged it as a PSA 6 based on centering to give it an 8(OC), based on their 2-point drop rule.

I'd take the 8OC, at least to me the OC isn't offensive as the card design makes it less jarring. The ones OC in the opposite direction look much worse.

I agree, a PSA 8 (OC) is better for this card than a PSA 6.
