Interesting last sentence in the description-
"Gold foil will be hobby jumbo only while Black parallels and Clears will only be found in hobby packs"
Didnt they mistakenly announce this in a recent flagship buzz release also, only to find the blacks are still in jumbo?
Can u imagine no blacks avail in jumbo?
I was hoping the mockup would show an RC- we'd maybe know one of the "held back" RCs for s2

Just buy it after release. I keep telling people this with all of the jacked up pre-buy prices. 2019 Update released at $1,200-$1,300 a case. I bought all of mine in the $700s after release. Almost every single release drops shortly after. No need to jump on at these prices. Series 2 has sucked nearly every year as well. 2019 was an outlier, and 2018 was just good because of Acuna bat down. I bought it for under cost for a long time.

When the Series 1 sell sheet was released, I was less than excited about the design, but it's starting to grow on me...

I like how the parallel color / design appears to be kept out of the player's picture. And I think this will help Topps Chrome and Sapphire with their look in parallels too.

Just got my allotment of S2...1 box of hobby and 1 box of Jumbo. I got a case of each last year. I know BO has $1000/case presale right now so it's got my mind wandering about what's going on. Word is my distributor was cut bad from Topps. This seems really crazy for flagship and without and real reason. Luis Robert really driving this? I can't buy it. I wonder if people are speculating or if they have insider information. S2 retail may be the way of the future for me. I can only imagine this will continue with Update.

$80 for a box of regular Topps cards with no checklist!? At what point will people stop buying at these ridiculous prices?

90% of these boxes will have a Chris Sale relic, and Raudy Tellez gold parallel as the best "hits." Don't do it!

I think this will be remembered as the time where anyone that isn't an established group breaker is just SOL. It's now either pay secondary mark-up or be happy getting Opening Day and last year's junk. There's no explanation for where it's going. Breakers aren't ripping that much flagship but now they can use their allotments to make money on products they used to sell at or below cost just to keep their allotment figures high.

Looking like Series 2 may be a on the weaker side this year since MLB may not even begin until mid season...Robert will most likely be in though, we shall see.

Production cuts maybe? No way the same demand is still there at this point.

I think they are cutting allocation to present the idea of demand, this will likely be one of the worst releases in recent memory for Series 2. No new prospects, which unfortunately will lean into Topps Chrome and Topps Chrome Sapphire and HHN. HHN at least will have solo rookie cards but yeah it's going to a rough rest of the year once we get past Bowman.

Exactly, no way demand can be high on this....I would even bet that brick and mortar stores are canceling orders with dists due to being shut down...

Robert might be enough to keep this product afloat. If he's included as a one-per-case SP like Acuna was, then I think you will see strong demand on the hobby side. Base sets would be worth nothing, but hobby case sales would be strong.
