2019 Panini Contenders Draft Daniel Jones Question

I'm debating on getting this graded, but not sure which company I should go with. PSA or BGS?

Also, just curious, but what do you think the value is of this? Its 8/10 (his Giants number, but not college number).

I’d probably send it to PSA and not have the auto graded. There’s a gap where he finishes his “L” in “Daniel”. There’s a chance that could come back as 9 on the auto.

Looks like it may be a "dot" for the "i" in Daniel. At least some of his autos on eBay look like that.
As for the jersey number, I'd say it doesn't matter. Only because this card shows him in his college uniform, with his college number.
As for grading, I'm not sure. I'd go with whatever you prefer.

I've never sent anything in for grading before. I didn't know you could just get the card graded and not the auto.

Check out some of his other autos. The finishing of the “L” is very distinctive.

There are plenty BGS with 10 auto with and without the dot.

You can have the card graded with or without the auto graded as well. With BGS, you can also choose whether or not you would like subgrades on your submission. This will give you detailed grades on the corners, surface, centering, and edges. For both BGS/PSA, you can also request the card only be slabbed with the grade if it meets your criteria. For example, if the card isn’t at least Gem Mint, you can instruct not to bother slabbing.

Given the differing opinions in this thread on his auto, I recommend looking at his autos on eBay and other sites to form your own opinion on if it’s worthy of grading.

You are correct. I did say there was a chance it would come back with a 9 on the auto, not a certainty. I’ve seen much worse autos get a 10. I’ve also seen much better autos come back a 9.

A BGS 9.5/10 of this card /15 sold for $152.50 in November. If the card in this thread receives the same grade, your probably looking at $150-$200 sold. I would have given it a higher dollar figure if it weren’t for Playoff Contenders coming out yesterday.

Yeah that's what I kinda thought as well. I'm just really getting into football and realizing that Contenders (NFL uniform) is the top dog lol.

BGS - You HAVE to have the auto graded. It is mandatory.
PSA - The auto grade is optional.

Ahhh I gotcha. I just wish the auto was on card lol.
