That's a fair comment, though for the most part, the signatures are hand signed. If they aren't they go back.

Cant remember if I ever posted it, but I spoke to a B&N rep thru imessages on my iPad and asked about the Seth McFarlane autos and they replied they thought they were always printed, versus signed.

I told them that it is highly misleading to call it a signed edition then and pointed out plenty have actually been signed.

^ It's available on B&N as well.

Do you think that there will be any chance for him to do book signings? I lean toward a "no", given his health, but am on the fence with the pre-signed books and still hold a very slight hope. Possibility of auto-pen plays a factor too.

He was doing conventions for a little while.

Ooh, Jim's book is $28, I'm gonna bite and buy a copy, loved him since I saw The Mask and Ace Ventura as a kid.

I'm a little weary though of B&N after the Seth McFarlane and other autopen incidents.

I'm going to order 2, not only for free shipping, but that way I can compare and either be returning 1 or 2 lol.

Also a bit weary, but simply going to return it if it smells like an autopen, i guess we can all compare when we get them...

I ordered one, I love Jim Carrey so wouldn't mind reading it, but am scared of the autopen for this one.

Premiere collectibles guarantees hand signed books. No autopen from them

I also picked up 2 copies.

If they prove to not be autopen and the signature is small enough, I hope to make them into a Mask & Riddler custom auto card in the future.

For whatever it’s worth there are photos of carrie underwood signing the books. Obviously it’s only a pule of books but given how easily accessible most country artists are, I’m guessing it’ll actually be signed.

Be careful when buying from Premiere Collectibles. I once bought an Enders Game book signed by Orson Scott Card and I made sure to triple check everything so I knew I was getting a real signed book and wasn't missing anything. Well after sending me my book they secretly signed me up for a book of the month club that was something like $75 a month and I only knew about it because my bill for that month came before the book did. I was able to get it cancelled before anything extra was charged but it was a pretty insulting process. They were bombarded with negative reviews on Facebook (that's where I saw the book advertised at first) since they were doing that to everybody.

My copy of the Carrie Underwood showed up. Compared it to several others and unless autopens are now doing neat tricks this appears to be hand signed.

Mine was from barnes and noble. Compared to other barnes and noble copies there were definitely differences. I can do pictures tomorrow if you’d like. Also had a friend go to a live signing and the signatures look similar but she signed on a different page live.

I looked it up on ebay so you don't need to post pics. I was just curious to see how different her signature was, compared to her American Idol autograph card. It's very different.

Always buy two if you can -- if they are identical matches, you know they are fake.

We are a week away from the release of the Jim Carrey book. Fingers crossed for no autopen or other shenanigans.
