Default Looking for Pettersson and found em

Not into hockey but seen his name around. Pulled this from a box I purchased. So I'm guessing he is a hold for now?

I was lucky enough to get a premier young guns of him as well. Everything news wise says Vancouver thinks he is the next messiah. Mine is for sale but I am unwilling to budge on the price with season starting next month and he could very well set more records.

The Good: dude is incredibly talented. Reminds me a lot of Pavel Datsyuk.

The Bad: He is frail like a little bird. Unless some major rule changes come along I don’t see him finishing his career in any sort of healthy manner.

Frail?
Care to elaborate?
Looks to me like he is slowly bulking up and IMO will end up along the lines of Mats Sundin when he completely matures. He actually had a slight growth spurt in the off season. He also dusted every other 'Nuck in conditioning and skating at the start of camp.
Rest assured, this guy will do what it takes to ensure he can take anything that gets dished out his way.

What exactly is a "premier young gun"?

Two multi-game injuries in rookie season. Granted the Matheson pile drive was cheap but Kotkaniemi isn't exactly Eric Lindros. Who knows, I could be wrong. Maybe he is bulking up. I hope he is. I like watching him play.

I agree he got pushed around a bit last year- he was on the skinny side. He does need to keep getting stronger.
The Kotka collision could have happened to anybody- Pettey looked off balance, was a weird contact and he fell with a twist.
The Matheson slam was really cheap.

Matheson and Kreider both had ridiculous cheap shots on Petey.

Pettey dodges the check (actually was a blatant charge) so Kreider swings an elbow into his face "accidently". Yeah, right Chris. Punk move. 5 and a game- be thankful there was no suspension.
