Default Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights

Hey guys and gals, my wife and I are going to Orlando next month for Halloween Horror Nights. This will be our first time there. Has anyone else ever been? If so, do you have any tips?

If you're just going to be there for 1 day, buy the fast pass. It's basically like buying an extra ticket but you won't make it through all the houses or get to see all the shows without it. Especially if you're going on a Saturday night.

My wife and I are huge fans of the theme parks (though not necessarily HHN) and follow someone on YouTube named The Tim Tracker. He does pretty in-depth tours and blogs about all of the upcoming events at Disney and Universal. I think he just uploaded one about HHN last week. Give him a check for more information:

Long lines. I would go twice so you can hit everything.

Fast passes are a little expensive, but an absolute must. We went two years ago, and the number of people we walked by in line was insane. Without a pass, each line was 60-90 minutes at least. We never waited more than 10 minutes, and in most cases walked right in.

I go every year and have been going ever year for the last 15 years or so. The passes you probably bought are the Rush of Fear passes which are tremendous value! If you're going those three nights you'll easily be able to hit all the houses. This year, they're going to have more houses than ever so lines might be a bit better but expect the more popular houses to have 2 - 3 hour waits (Stranger Things, Ghostbusters and Killer Klowns). It's an absolute blast though! If you have any questions or anything, feel free to shoot me a PM with them.

Man, I can't believe this has already started!

We went in 2016 and got into exactly two houses from the time it started until closing. But part of that was by choice because we didn't want to wait in anymore lines and just enjoyed walking the streets getting chased by zombies and chainsaws through the Scare Zones.

I don't know if they still do it but the Bill & Ted show was actually really good, well acted and had just enough adult language to make it enjoyable. The hostess near the entrance of the entire thing had her own area where she roasted the crowd, we stood around there for 20 minutes just listening to her.

Oh yah, and you can still ride most of the rides. But like others said, if you are strictly going for the haunted houses, get the Express Pass.

Sadly the Bill and Ted show ended last year for good. It was either last year or the year before, somebody in Hollywood complained about the adult language and jokes from the show and caused a huge uproar. It pissed off a lot of people because they make it ABUNDANTLY clear before the show that there's lots of adult jokes and languages so it's not like she was blind sided.
