Just a reminder, if its like last year you can't "pre-buy" any boxes for the promo packs. Panini makes you buy boxes at the show from select dealers to obtain a coupon showing your purchase was made there to redeem for the packs.

This is true, but one of the benefits of early notification was giving us a chance to negotiate with the sellers before the show. I can remember getting this list a month early and then having time to make arrangements and reserve product. MAPP rules may be in effect ON the show floor, but these guys were always willing to deal before the show if you wanted to lock in an order at a better price point.

Last year we didnt get the silver pack info until around a week before the show. It made it real difficult but I had a few cases of optic waiting for me on wednesday.

So if you get a coupon once you've purchased the items, does that mean you dont actually have to open all the packs and trade them in?

In recent years they sliced the boxes and removed the plastic wrap so that they could not be resold. You didn't necessarily need to open your packs in front of Panini, but you couldn't simply walk off with the box and resell it somewhere else.

Did this change from 2 years ago? When I went to the Chicago show in 2017, the Panini booth gave people Silver packs for any qualifying boxes. They did not check for stamps or coupon slips.

I do remember dealers having signs saying that they were authorized dealers for the promo, but they were typically $5-$10 more expensive per box as well.

Were they more strict for the Cleveland 2018 show?

Yes last year was the first time this was truly enforced. If you didnt have the slip of paper, you could not redeem product for packs.

Not sure if this is 100% accurate but looks like:

2019 contenders draft football
18-19 optic fast break
2018 optic football collectors box
2018-19 Noir Basketball
2018-19 Opulence Basketball
2019 Star & Stripes Baseball

That list seems small, so hopefully there is more to it. I would have expected a healthy amount of racing and soccer, in addition to Threads basketball which has not been selling well at MSRP. Not that I would buy racing and soccer anyway, but I'm just pointing out that there are a lot of products that could make this list potentially, unless the promotion has really been squeezed down this much.

This is certainly good to know ahead of time, thanks!

I know of a few people that bought the VIP Panini package in the past and got double silver packs, because they got all the gold and silver packs when picking up their cases prior to the party and then taking the boxes to the booth to get additional silver packs.

It took them hours to do so, because they could only take a few boxes at a time, but they ended up getting another $1,000+ worth of free packs.

Probably best that Panini is cracking down on this, so that they don't run out and the people that are following the proper protocol, get what they expected.

I got similar info but I think there will be a few more products added. I think 18-19 chronicles basketball is on the list.

Now you must have a sticker on the box just like topps did last year for their redemption. You can only get a sticker if you buy from a panini authorized dealer at the show.

Upper deck is the company that does the slips. Panini and Topps require stickers on the box which you can only get from authorized dealers at the show.

Yes, sorry my paste didn’t go through completely.

2019 Optic Baseball

Also, they mentioned this is the first and largest package but that there will a couple more smaller announced in the coming days. That might be the soccer, racing, etc.

Or you can just buy the silver & gold packs from dealers selling them individually at the show. But I suppose you have to be careful about the "thick" packs being picked out.

Same thing, point is you cant buy a bunch of product for cheap ahead of time and carry it all in for redemption packs.

Don't confuse the wax packages that you can purchase (if you are a distributor) with the redemption packs product list. The list above are all products from the first package that people like BO will purchase that Panini released to them today. Last year, the "package" lists were quite different from the Silver Pack redemption lists. There was some overlap, but not the majority.

Looking for Andre Dawson Serial numbered cards that are his jersey number - either #8 or #10. So looking for cards like 8/8 or 08/99 or 10/250.
