Default Some of my Emmitt Smith Collection - Scan Heavy

Showing some of my Emmitt Smith collection. For various reasons I don't collect autos or game used.

I am not a completist and try to keep my collection pared down by focusing mostly on Refractors, 1/1's and rarer/hard to find '90's cards. I like cards that have some hobby presence or weight. Don't do much with low end base or inserts although I do make exceptions if I really like the card. In total, I have about 275 cards.

Very nice. I was always a Skins fan at heart, but Smith was always one of my favorites growing up!

You had me at "hello"

But only if you can fix the "1999 Bowman Chrome Gold" to the 2001.

Awesome collection man! As a Cowboy fan and big Emmitt fan and collector I'm jealous. One card you might consider if you don't already have it: His 1991 Pro Set Platinum redemption card numbered to 650 made with real platinum. You couldn't pull it in a pack just the redemption for it. It's a cool card in person and the jewel in my collection. It still holds high value especially for a card from the junk wax era.
Again great collection!

I knew I was going to get at least one thing wrong. Fixed.

Thank you.

I've had a couple of the Pro Set Platinums over the years, but have sold them off each time. I'll probably circle back and and add one permanently at some point.

The 1991 Wild Cards 1000 stripes are ones I won't ever circle back too. Rare, hold value, but ugly lol. Sold mine off. I want to be able to look through my collection without my eyes hurting and the 1000 stripes hurt to look at.

Still need the '97 PMG Green. I know where two are actually and while I could probably find a way to pay the asking price, I don't have the heart to spend that much. Truth be told, I have vacillated back and forth the past year about exiting collecting and selling it all off. I have no kids and the spouse could care less. I've gotten a little tired of the grind too.

That being said...and until that happens:

I still need the '98 Credentials Future /52 and Now /9. Kinda in the same boat with the Now /9. I know where one is and could acquire it, but the price...

I still need the '98 and '99 Star Rubies.

And I still need 3 more '97 Playoff Zone Golds /5 yet.

In 2002 Upper Deck had some gold parallels #'d /25 out of Honor Roll, MVP and Ovation. I'd love to find.

In the presence of greatness, the humble can only bow.

This is quite the focused and special collection, congrats!
