Default Stolen Card Advice

I made a high end deal with a user on this forum a few weeks ago involving multiple cards including 93 jeter Sp 8.5,8,7 Trout update 10 and a stadium club 10 shipped through fedex. Watched tracking and when package delivered the box was “empty” except for the bubble wrap. User FaceTimed me opening the box which when opened was empty. Does anyone have any advice on a remedy to the situation? I have all serial numbers of cards and wondering if there is a way to report stolen or flag if ever resold.

Good question and who’s suggestion was it to FaceTime the box being opened? Did the buyer show you the box and could you see any sign of tampering?

I agree. Opened it, resealed it, and then FaceTimed you to open the empty box. If someone cut it open during shipment, they wouldn’t care enough to seal it back most likely.

Go straight to Fed Ex. Demand a supervisor and see if you can get in touch with an equivalent of a USPS postal inspector. Lay it out and see what they can do. If that leads to nowhere, march down to the police station and file a report. Fight this wrong with everything you have.

So who is this turd nugget? C'mon man, I want to stay away from getting trade raped. I'm not going to be as nice as you are.

I don't know how to assist, but calling out this person would be a start. I agree with most of the others that the person you traded with opened the box themselves and took the cards and resealed it.

yeah, we need to know who it is. Especially if he is a member here. So we can all be aware.

He deserves a chance to defend his position, but it looks like you are getting played

I wouldn't open the package at all if it looked tampered with, and if I wouldn't think to film the opening if it didn't look tampered with. Seems pretty scammy.

Immediately get on the phone with paypal and tell them the situation, they are well aware of crooks who pull the 'package was empty' routine. Send them a copy of the shipping receipt that shows the weight of the package so they know it wasn't you who did it.....

Get this in the hands of someone who can investigate and get to the bottom of this. You should also let us know who the buyer is because this sounds very fishy.

Also, what's going on with so many shady sports card deals? I had a $3K militaria item shipped to me from Europe that when delivered, was just sitting on my doorstep that I could have said never made it to me but I sent the guy a message saying I received it and am just glad it's safe....

What kind of box did you ship in, and who is the user?

I think I can tell from your past posts who it is, and I will say that person rubbed me the wrong way trying to make a deal with me.

I do not feel entirely comfortable stating the users name seeing as I don’t have every detail of the situation. I do not wish to throw shade at someone until I get all details which in all honesty I may never get.

Well let me ask you this. Does FedEx have an equivalent of USPS registered mail where everybody in the chain of custody who touches the box has to sign for it? If so you should have sent it that way. Sorry I use mostly USPS so i'm not too familiar with FedEx services.

Without knowing both sides...It seems probable that the person wanted face time to try and make himself look legit when he scammed you.

Wait what??? So you don’t want to name the users name because you don’t have all the details and you don’t think you will all the details???

Sorry but your post makes zero sense. Good luck with this.
