Default Showoff .... your favourit "hand numbered" cards

Aight guys,

So - i thought it would be cool to have a thread which isn't about the machine stamped serials .... a thread which isn't going to the Future but more Back to the Back :-D

At first:
I really kinda love to write...with my hand...to write letters with a pen, i like if someone has a nice handwriting but too bad that its not that much imporzant nowadays to get it poppin with a pen and a paper ... since its all about touching screens nowadays.

When i started collecting in 98' i was fascinated by cards that were numbered with a hand writing ( no for real) since that was much rarer to get and it has a little much human touch to it then a machine serial numbered card...

Just think at Century Marks !! ..97 were numbered to /100 ...98 to /50 ...the struggle was real!
Was there like only 1 guy hand numbering them all so that all look the same?
Think of the most iconic basketball card in the hobby...

1997-98 Upper Deck Game Jersey Auto Michael Jordan /23

.... handnumbered.....

Nowadays its not that much about handnumberings anymore (except replay) but i would love to see it more involved again.

I love old UD buybacks ( have 100+) century marks, some crazy parallels ...

Lets showoff and see what everyone has to show!

I think its a good time to go and check your collection again ;-)

I will try to post 1 card every day for like 6 years and 17 days and i am starting with this one!

Show em!!!

-kiki

I think I only have four in my collection. This is probably my favorite.

I don't think I have many KG cards that are hand numbered, but this one came to mind:

1998-99 Upper Deck Next Quantum Wave Gold /75

I also think it is a bit weird some of KG's are hand numbered to 75 while other players are stamped to 75 in the same set.

I hope it's for real or I wasted some money on a fake! :S

Also, this isn't fire but I had this card as a kid and I remember thinking... Holy crap someone had to write out 4100 cards by serial number?!

Thought first the Jordan would be my only one, but the post of Luni made me think about Kevin Garnett.

2 potential situations.... if one was sent back for damage... they would send back a hand numbered version.... never saw one with the gold marker... thats new to me..

Yeah I just checked worth point and it looks like some of KG's are stamped and two are hand written (23 & 49) so far. Hope it isn't some backdoor version and rather just a replacement or something... Weird.

Easy one for me. I handnumbered this one myself after receiving it for Fathers Day from my lucky charm a few years ago.

I never thought I would find one of these, but a couple of years ago a member on here posted a "Random stuff ft/fs" thread and there it was I let them know I PC Darrell Armstrong and they told me they'd had it for a long time hoping someone who collected him would need it. It's a great feeling in this hobby when you land a card you know exists, but don't think there's a chance to ever land it. Hopefully everyone is ok with "Flash" Armstrong taking a spot among all of these incredible Jordans
