Hello all,
I’ve owned this photo for about 10 years now. I’m making a serious effort to consolidate my various collections and after doing the whole “does this thing bring me joy” thing, I’m considering selling this. I’m looking for some help on the value. A little backstory on it - I work in television promotions and marketing, and back in 2009-ish, I was working at a TV station that also owned and ran a My Network station as a secondary affiliate. At that time, Smackdown was running on My Network and for the 10th anniversary of the show, we received a huge box of items promoting the event. The box contained the following - a DVD-ROM of promotional photos and key art for use by the station, a WWE-branded post-it notepad, 5 matted 8x10 signed photos of wrestlers, 5 high-quality Rey Mysterio masks branded with 10th anniversary graphics (all youth sized) and the signed photo you see below. Normally when we receive this kind of thing, we give it away - whole or in parts - in a contest of some sort to viewers, but on occasion we would keep items with supervisor approval. The box sat in my boss’s office for a log time, and he knew I was a huge wrestling fan. One day he surprised me and gave me the whole thing. The photo is 16x12 inches, and the included double matte is 20x16 inches. The outer black matte came foil-stamped with the 10th anniversary logo. All 7 wrestlers featured on it signed the photo. I verified through some acquaintances at other My Network stations that none of the big superstars (Rey, Edge and Undertaker) signed the smaller individual photos, so this was the only promotional item signed by those 3. All individual 8x10’s featured the other 4 wrestlers seen below as well as a few mid/lower guys like like John Morrison, and stations got a random assortment. The promotional package came with a letter to the promotional director describing the items, and it stated the multi-signed photo and the Rey masks were exclusive to this promotional package. It did not state how many were made. There are 210 designated markets in the US, and it’s highly unlikely every DMA received these packages since a lot of smaller markets probably didn’t have dedicated My Network stations. So, factoring in the possibility that a few extras were possibly produced for network execs or big clients, I would guess there were between 150 and 250 of these made? I think I still have the letter, I’d have to find it. I have since had the photo framed in a simple satin black frame and it hangs in my dark office. If I sold it, I would likely sell it in the frame. If anyone is curious, I sold the 8x10 photos in a lot to a member here a few years ago, and of the 5 Rey Mysterio masks - I kept one, sold one on eBay and gave the other 3 to nephews and children of friends. I’m looking for some opinions regarding value on this. I didn’t put this in the B/S/T section because I’m not sure exactly when, where or how I’m going to sell or trade it. Values for non-card and rarer items are hard to find, so I thought someone on the forum might have more experience with collectibles like this. Thanks for any help or opinions anyone can offer. ![]() |

I was guessing somewhere around $200. Wrestling autos don't really sell as well as you would think since most wrestlers sign a TON for fans and are pretty easily accessible. This is a great photo and Edge, Taker, Mysterio and Punk are all great sigs to get but the rest bring down the value a bit. If it was mine I'd probably list it on Ebay for $250 - 300 and take anything over $200. Very cool though and I bet it looks great framed!

Thanks for the info! I couldn't find a sold listing on Ebay. I guess I was close on the quantity made. I saw someone listing a Rey mask for sale and the listing stated there were only 100 masks made, but I know that was WAY off. If 225 of the signed prints were made, 5 masks were sent with each print. I also figured the other signatures held back really high value. Collecting baseball, I hated seeing a dual auto featuring a HOFer and some rookie who could wash out in two years.
Thanks for the help! |
