Default Mike Trout PSA 10 Rookie Price Tracker

I'll update this every month... feel free to discuss your joys and pains of Trout PSA 10 rookie collecting below!

Couple of notes:

1) I'm only tracking his PSA Rookie Set Registry cards

2) Data is pulled from the PSA Auction Prices Realized tool (Oct 2016 to present)

3) Data prior to October 2016, was pulled from PWCC's tool that tracks back to 2004 (Note: good data didn't really seem usable until Oct 2012)

4) Monthly averages are/were calculated based on all data points for the given month as long as 3 sold were recorded, if not, it was the average of the last 10, not to exceed 90 days. Where gaps existed beyond 90 days between sales, the prevailing average just carried forward

5) With regards to the 2011 Panini Prime Cuts PSA 10 Pop 1... I know when it sold and for how much. For this particular card, I simply applied an algorithm forward and reverse to match the combined trend of the other 7 cards. It may or may not actually be able to realize as much, or as little, as the price denoted today... if sold today! UPDATE: The card is now a Pop 2 and we had a sale in June 2019. Moving forward, until another sale is recorded, I will now trend off the June number as was previously done when the card was a Pop 1.

I just have a lowly PSA 9 on the prime cuts... but there you go! Nice suggestion!

Bowman 101's are undervalued IMO. They should be going for more.

Agreed, very tough card to 10.

I will live and die believing the BC175 is the most undervalued of them all though...

I agree. It is one beautiful looking card, especially when it’s decently centered.

Nice bump for them last year. I think once buyers start expanding their collections there will be another push.

What about the eTopps? If you are putting unlicensed Playoff Contenders then you gotta put licensed RC logo eTopps in there. Any way you can do that? They are all numbered to 999

That eTopps has been selling really well too! The red just pops and the overall looks is amazing. It also helps that it is limited to only /999 copies with no parallels.

That is one of my favorite Trout cards of all time!

After about a 10 year hiatus from collecting (late high school, military, starting a career)... I got back into card collecting because of eTopps! It pains me to this day that the hobby-powers-that-be don't/won't consider eTopps cards true RCs because of their distribution method(s). With that said, as I stated above...

1) I'm only tracking his PSA Rookie Set Registry cards

That's good for me, it's the next card on my list. I still can't believe how much the Update has skyrocketed in the last year. I suffer from classic FOMO and bought mine at the height of the market, lol.
