Default 2019 Heritage Retail

Just stopped at Target on my lunch break and from the looks of it, they just got stocked on 2019 Heritage. Tons of blasters, and rack packs. Unfortunately I only bought one blaster, which i'll break tonight with my step son. Anyone see any yet? Any luck with decent pulls?

Went to 2 Target's and a Walmart near me, and none of them had anything.

I have been to about 5 different Targets today, and found nothing. I wish the employees stocked it instead of waiting for the single Excel rep to show up at all of these places.

Talked to a lady today at my Target as she was putting up Heritage. She said they just came in this morning.

Side note: My local Walmart has yet to stock 2019 S1, wtf.

Same on the series 1.. I don't even think mine got any 2018-19 optic basketball yet either.. If they will at all.

Retail odds are horrendous this year. No way I would touch it, unless it was to build a base set.

Got to go Excel box hunting Ted! They often leave them at the closest (usually unused) register to the card section (not hidden, just sitting on the conveyer belt), or on a cart nearby. I was initially nervous to open them myself, but talked to a manager in one Target and she was totally cool about it. (When I asked at another they asked me to wait a few minutes for an employee to open it instead.) Look for the brown cardboard boxes with an inch wide yellow border around the top edge. (They’re usually the ones with new releases in them.) Worst they can do is say no!

Really?!? I had the exact opposite read based on printed odds... maybe I'm misinterpreting somewhere?

Replicating the post on p46 of the Heritage thread:https://www.blowoutforums.com/showth...242057&page=46

... this is what I found (in this case talking about the online special blaster packs they are selling for $22):
__________
Not intending to be a shill for Topps.com here... but Heritage's odds for retail is surprisingly good... you might actually do better, depending on what you are looking for, as you could get 40 retail packs for the price of 24 hobby packs (at current pricing) with this deal.

IF what you are looking for are these, on a $/pack basis you do better on retail!
-- French Text (odds are equal)
-- Short Print (odds are equal)
-- Chrome of all types except Gold (odds are equal)
-- Mini, Sliver Metal, Trade, Nickname, Error, Throwback (odds are equal)
-- Red Auto (odds are equal)
-- Brew Crew (odds are equal)
-- Auto Relic, Relic, Dual Relic, Triple Relic, Quad Relic, Flashback Auto Relic (odds are equal)

Nearly as good... especially if you consider for the same price of a hobby box (24 packs) you would get 40 packs in those special online blasters:
-- Blue Autos <-- only 30% less common per $$ spent based on the higher pack count for same $$
-- Gold Relic <-- equal on a $$ per pack basis, actually! even though retail odds are a bit worse

What would you miss?
-- Action Image
-- Black Border
-- Flip Stock
-- Chrome Gold
-- Team Name error
-- a few SUPER RARE items that as a whole you'd only have ~18% chance of hitting one from the list in a WHOLE CASE of hobby, like the 1970 Mint coin cards, Dual/Triple autos, Patch relics, Cut Signatures

I typically keep an eye out for the boxes, but if I don't see them on the closest register or a cart, I just skip it. Ripped a Hobby box tonight. Planning on doing $100 in retail hopefully tomorrow and then call it a day.

I'll vow to forever buy some Heritage retail after how my 2018 Heritage experience went.

I usually rip retail but will probably pass this year. Everyone always poops on retail but it's fun and all it takes is one hit to pay for it all. Last year I hit a Moncada throwback from a blaster. Saw a guy this year hit an Ohtani throwback from a blaster. If you like building and you have the $, retail isn't so bad for heritage.

I'm with you - Historically, I've done REALLY well with Heritage Retail including multiple throwbacks, autos, and auto'd relics - it just usually takes a "hobby box amount of $$" (5-6 Blasters) to really pull anything!

Last year I hit a Hank Aaron Red Ink from a Walmart blaster. So far none of my local Walmarts or targets have any '19 Heritage stocked.

I pulled the Ohtani throwback last night from a Target blaster (bought 6 blaster boxes total). Max Muncy ROA in the same blaster. Also bought (6) hanger boxes that combined had (1) Chrome /999 and (1) SP literally that was it.
I’m all in on Blasters but will leave the hangers and fat packs alone.

New to Heritage.......any difference in the Wal-Mart / Target packs...or are they exactly the same?

Thanks!

Sounds like my two boxes. Actually you did better than I did.
