Runaway train never going back
Wrong way on a one way track
Seems like I should be getting somewhere
Somehow I'm neither here nor there

Soul Asylum and Collective Soul.

If you want something edgier, I'll say Stabbing Westward or Machines of Loving Grace.

For me, it’s Luscious Jackson. To me, their first three albums are flawless works of art.

Concrete Blonde
Digital Underground
They Might Be Giants
Dramarama

...are all criminally underrated.

The correct answer is Live.

Two of those hits are from the 2000s so I dont think Fuel qualifies.

Live is always among the first bands people bring up, so I'm not sure they're really underrated anymore.

I'd like to shout out Soul Coughing, myself. Not "most" underrated, but a fun band I dig.

Also, maybe its just because of my age, but I think Aerosmith's 90's work is very underrated despite their commercial success.

Had a chance to see Soul Asylum live in 2014, when they toured with Everclear, Eve 6 and Space Hog. I went to see Eve 6 for the first time but it was Soul Asylum that stole the show and absolutely killed it. I remembered liking their music in the 90's but became a fan after seeing them live.

Are they? I never hear anyone talk about how much they like Live. But also I don't talk to many people.

Third Eye Blind is still overrated simply because of how terrible they were live.

Throwing Copper is a magnificent album. As is The Distance to Here which has Dolphin's Cry on it. I just feel like no one talks about them. At least from what I've seen.

They really should have rethought their band name though. Have you ever tried searching for Live tickets? It's exhausting.

Some great feedback in here! I always associate Fuel with 90s but perhaps I should have rephrased the query as fin-du-vingtieme-siecle band??

Alice In Chains for me in the 90's. I quit listening to music radio about 1993. Switched over to talk radio. We had a ZRock affiliate here in Cincinnati until June 1992. They switched to country. Their competitor was 107.1 The Power Pig. That lasted until April 1993. They switched to Alternative rock. Only listen FM now because my 13yr old listens to the local pop station.
