Default Official 6x Super Bowl Champs 2019 New England Patriots Thread

Lets go ahead and spin this thread up.

Does Gronk come back? Does Isaiah Wynn slide into an OL starting spot? Does Duke Dawson stick around?

Is there a 7th title team in the works? Discuss.

Gronk, Slater, McCourty twins hang them up.

Trent Brown goes for the pay day.

Also, its 2019 Chief...

He already went for hands to the face.

Slater should be in the Patriots HOF.

Am curious to see how defensive heavy they go in the draft with Schiano coming in.

All I know is...just go ahead and concede the AFC to Tommy Boy as long as he's the starter and able to play 4 quarters.

They'll probably also somehow snag Antonio Brown or some other top flight talent which will extend Tom's career and make his job easier.

It's a given this point, just like Lebron and the East for over a decade. Some things just don't change no matter how optimistic or hopeful people want to be.

Except LeBron never had aPeyton Manning, Ben Roethlisberger, or Pat Mahomes ready to knock him off...

Gronk holds out for his own web-show starring all three brothers and a dog named Billy.

Lol come on. It doesn't matter. The AFC has been as watered down as the East was in the NBA. That's just how it is. Mahomes had a sensational season, but Bellicheck and Tom have seen it all and done it all. Experience and pedigree trumps raw talent 9 times out of 10.

I'm not putting any money against the Pats not making the superbowl. Let's just put it at that.

Are you?

You can’t be serious...who was LeBrons top competitor all those years in the east?

I seriously can’t think of one guy...Carmelo?

You're looking too far into this. I was just stating that it's foolish to bet against Brady winning the AFC, just like it was foolish to bet against Lebron winning the East.

Make sense? Or would you like everyone to kiss Tom's Ugg boots with every reference?

Give him whatever he wants and let him play the last 6 games and Playoffs.

Fun things to talk about. All I can say is it's a great time to be an NFL fan. Hall of Fame bound QB's still playing at high levels, and young talent such as Mahomes, Goff, Baker and still have Luck and Cam Newton playing and able to have breakout seasons as well. Great receivers are playing making incredible catches and high level of defense back talent.

Pats don't have a lot of holes to fill, but that's not counting key players retiring or moving on. It's going to be hard to replace their defensive caller, Brian Flores, though. His play calling was key to the Super Bowl win.

Going to be hard for the Patriots to have back to back championships when nobody is going to believe the "we are the underdogs" theme.

Official thread??? Doesn't even mention the Pats are SB Champs?!?! Fail of a thread, IMO.

Yep...I was too drunk to think to make it and Cavy slid in when I wasn’t looking.

Pats will lose some to retirement, but should reload with the number of draft picks coming (deep draft as well). Needs: taller, fast WR (Hogan having difficulty separating & no Josh Gordon), TE, secondary picks, LB, and to sign some pending free agents.

Wonder if they will attempt to bring back Josh Gordon at all or just move on from him.

That theme worked because of how the media and fans gushed about other teams and could work again in their favor next year.
