Hey guys, curious on what binders you typically use and also the labeling on them.
I've got a few cheap one from back-to-school clearance I use for low end stuff which doesn't have a slip area on the front to insert a cover sheet, so I was thinking of maybe using sticker paper to print off a nice label for it. Most of my collection is Star Wars and it's a bummer they haven't made official set binders in a long time. So, what images do you use for things like movie sets or the all-encompassing sets? I was thinking of maybe using the movie posters for things like Solo, TLJ, R1 but also there's some nice inserts of the montage or poster cards Topps made that'd look great as well. This is the one I think I'll use for my Rogue one sets https://www.rainmandigitalmedia.com/...alliance-team/

Movie posters and favorite inserts are both good ideas.
Another one you may wish to consider is printing the first page from a set's sell-sheet. In the blowout store, each box or case has a link to a PDF. Usually the first page of the sell-sheet has a nice big logo, a listing of features found in the set, and the release month and year. |

My only issue is I tend to put multiple sets in binders (I picked up a bunch of the card guard branded ones that are normally $20 for $6 when GameStop had a clearance sale on them!). I think Topps could even do a cool boxtopper by having a 8.5x11 poster inside the box that could be used for this purpose. Maybe one side would be box art and the reverse as a checklist?

Nice! Did you just print and insert slips into the binder cover or get a full cover printed on the plastic?

I want to print them onto photographic quality paper - but it's expensive - and I'm on a tight budget. I keep spending on my collection so there's nothing left for fun side projects. Already have the binder ready to go, but I don't know if I'll ever have free funds to get the project across the finish line. <g> Another hurdle: My dream is to do a full collage - showing the custom cuts as if they were "busted of out a fresh pack". You know what I mean? ![]() BTW, the Sell Sheet took nearly a month to put together. Fun, but tiring project. I even added an exact-sounding disclaimer. <laugh> |

Good suggestions in this thread- I really like the Dune sell sheet example above.
Maybe if you are doing multiple sets in one binder, you could separate the different sets inside the binder with some kind of dividers. And for each divider use a single sheet protector that will hold a printed sheet (which would be the sell sheet design).....and then for the outer binder cover do some kind of more general Star Wars design not specific to a certain set? Just some thoughts. I usually do one set per binder, and I collect Marvel instead of Star Wars. I use the Avery durable or heavy duty binders you get at Walmart that have clear cover holders that will hold the artwork. I tend to buy the artwork from eBay (it gets rather expensive), since my problem with printing artwork is binder covers are bigger than 8.5x11, and most printers seem to only print standard 8.5x11 sheets, and if you print in poster mode, it never looks good for me when I try to cut out the different sections and attach them somehow. It seems to need a professional-type printer to print the poster-size artwork (unless other home printers do this, I'm not that knowledgeable with this). For comparison, the marvel masterpieces binders* are graphics I bought (more professionally done), and the character collection binders I made myself (note the smaller 8.5x11 covers)....definitely not as good, but they still work ok. *the artwork for 1995 MM is actually from a 1995 Fleer Ultra Spider-Man release- always bugs me, lol. But I still did that particular one for consistency. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Must be satisfying to see it all come together like that. Envious.
