Default JR Smith

Since its all fresh on our minds, I was wondering where this ranks all time in "boneheaded" postseason plays in NBA playoff history. Stephen A Smith brought up Isiah Thomas pass where Bird stole it in the 80s but I feel JRs is worse than that. The only other bizarre letdown I can recall is Nick Anderson bricking a ton of FTs vs Houston in 1995. Does anyone know of any other stupid decisions made during the playoffs which can be compared to JR Smith?

Nick Anderson simply choked and it ruined him after. JR did something so moronic that any basketball beginner would not make that mistake. He’s so dumb it’s just unexplainable.

He's a 15 year NBA veteran, played in four finals, supposed to be an experienced veteran trying to set an example for guys like Clarkson and Nance in big moments. Instead he pulls this kind of s--t. Smh.

Those were turnovers, but not really boneheaded plays. More of a choke and bad turnovers than boneheaded plays. This JR Smith play was boneheaded. And I think it's the most boneheaded play in the playoffs given the magnitude of the play and the moment. By boneheaded, I'm not counting choke jobs like missing free throws or something.

One I can think of was game 4 of the 2012 Finals when the Thunder were down 2 or 3 with 30? seconds left and fouled the Heat allowing them to extend to a two possession game instead of just getting a stop and trying to tie the game. I remember thinking how dumb he was for his lack of situational awareness. Obviously doesn't even begin to compare to JR, but pretty bad.

Yeah. He's "supposed to" set an example of not making boneheaded plays like this in game 1 of the finals as heavy underdogs. Or is that even too much to ask of JR... But yeah I do expect a 15-year veteran to set an example as to not make these kinds of boneheaded plays in game 1 of the finals.

I'll play along this one time. How many rings does Jordan have without Pippen? And how did it work out for Jordan in the playoffs when he didn't have Pippen? Jordan's Bulls were the Warriors of today. I could go on, but I know all this is just too hard for you to comprehend, so I'll stop here.

No love for getting an offensive rebound off a missed free throw? George hill choking at the line should be more talked about than this.

Oooh big words for a little boy. Funny you bring up Jordan and the Bulls, insecure much?

FYI I'm a Spurs fan dumb dumb. You know, that squad Bron always struggled against. 4-0 and 4-1
Just be thankful Ray stopped it from being 4-2 to SA in the other series.

I know right. Jr made a silly error but he got the O board, it was his error to make.

LeBron is cleansed of his mistakes in the clutch again, what else is new.

What if JR had $$ riding on the game. Someone brought that up last night. Thought it was pretty ridiculous but still worth bringing up. Just hard to explain why he'd wait until the last play of the game to blow it tho, if that was the case. More than likely he's just a dummy

Yeah I mean Lebron had 51 points so what are you even trying to say here? No one in their right mind would put blame on him. That's just clueless

Why doesn't the coach start calling timeout when he sees JR start to pull the ball out?
