Just curious how many people are finding these and who is being shut out...or if anyone really just doesn't care!

Bought 40 on Target.com

Haven't seen them and am guessing won't, most probably didn't make it to shelves here and are already on on Ebay or other resellers like last year.

Have searched through all the Targets in the Central Florida area multiple times and have had zero luck with finding them. I tried calling as well, but that did not seem to help as they all stated they were out of stock and were not planning on getting any more in :/

I searched two larger cities by me and found nothing. Just bought a few on eBay and may just hold onto them to see what happens in the next few months. Have never been able to hold onto sealed boxes so this should be fun.

visited a couple targets in my area but havent seen any boxes or the red display.

I haven't done any retail chasing since the 2011 Value Boxes. Too much aggravation for little payoff.

You have to ask someone to look for a tall box in the back or front storage areas. The vendor I talked to said she wouldn’t have put them out till next week if I didn’t ask. I also had to describe the red display. Hope this might help.

and the answer I get:

"the vendor puts them out and whatever shipments we get in go directly onto the floor. they are scanned and if it shows out of stock, then they are sold."

There is not a single target employee in existence that has any type of clue.

This right here I did this last night showed a picture of the display and the box its suppose to come in and sure enough the kid comes out the back with a fresh display, it doesn't matter on there inventory device if it says in stock or out of stock it hasn't ever made it into the inventory system, you really need to ask a employee that's willing to help show them a picture and hope they look. The other mega thread someone posted a nice write up about this and its very helpful

I've tried every Target in the greater Tampa Bay area. I haven't even seen a single box for sale.

Found 30 boxes when I hit target during lunch but also got a speeding ticket so I guess its a wash.

I think there should be a new thread - How can you tell if your store is totally sold out or never got them to begin with?

if you know they never get them then you know not to go back there looking for them in future years

Valid point—I think you never rule out a store because as we have seen, different employees say and know different things.
