Default Fairfield: a repacked, repacked pack?

so I got a couple 10pks of fairfield baseball (mostly trying to finish all the insert sets from 2016 and 2017 so it works for me for now)
6/10 packs in one box were resealed

2017 series 2 retail (!?) half base bowman

2017 update series chrome pack (what is this even doing here?)
the series 2 had a loose seal, but the chrome pack was
i shnit you not, sealed with paste...like the kind you use with construction paper...smeared all over the outside of the top seal.
gross. 4 cards, 3 chrome update, one base bowman.

2016 update retail-all 2017 base (paste again)

2017 bowman retail all 2017 topps base

so frustrating.
holy crap folks. no one is safe from these miscreants.
trust no one.

Where at in VA are you? I am in the Richmond area and will not purchase any retail from local Targets as there is someone in the area doing this. I opened 4 or 5 2018 heritage hangers from Target and all but one had been opened and then glued back together with the same glue/paste you mention.

The Fairfield repacks are basically the leftover packs that no one bought from Target and Walmart. If a Target or Walmart had taken packs back for refunds then likely the packs were returned to the vendor (Excel) and the vendor, under the name Fairfield Sports repacks them.

From what I understand (person I know that works for Excel locally), Fairfield Sports uses people from various agencies to pack their boxes. Agencies such as handicapped and mental rehabilitation services. People with those types of disabilities wouldn't know to not repack those types of packs in boxes. They are shown to add 1 of these, 3 of those and 6 of this.

Fairfield is on Facebook. I contacted them there after a similar experience and they offered to send some replacement boxes if I sent them a copy of my receipt and the damaged cards/resealed packs. Of course, I hadn’t kept the receipt but if you did, it’s worth a shot...unless they send you more garbage

Got resealed packs at Walmart twice (two different), will never touch retail again as long as I am buying wax, aside from the junk odds, this crap.. wax is risky enough without losses from this, Blowout is the only way I buy packs or boxes from here on out.

that is just silly though if people really need to search 2 dollar packs what is this hobby coming too.. we are really heading toward breakers being the only way to get cards which I personally am fine with I dont want the risk, but then you dont get the thrill of opening packs..

anyways sorry for the crap, contact them on Facebook and hope!

The old retailer Hastings used to sell alot of boxes one of my favorite places to buy “retail” (recently bankrupt) would shredd all remaining packs.....then claim them as lost/unsold stock. My son used to work there....
Cant imagine how many boxes were shredded in the last 10 years.

I miss Hastings. Used to love it you would often get coupons for all exclusive comics for 3.99 and it was unlimited to the number you could buy. I would go in grab all the 7.99 and up exclusives I could and sell them on Ebay. On the right Wednesdays you could quickly turn a couple of hundred in profit.
