Might as well give him credit for everything then: Sexual assaulter, adulterous relationship while married and choking his mistress.

Would off the field/court accomplishments ever do something for someones cards as far as raising the values significantly ??? I know not in this case like kobe, but lets say tony romo got good enough at golf to win a major, would that do anything for his football cards ?

Just lol@him having as many Oscars as Leo and Susan Lucci.

He honestly seems like one of the most intelligent former/current players, or at the very least plays the part.

I'm convinced he can pretty much attain whatever he has his eye on, that's why he'll always be second to Michael in that respect. Though this trait has been both a gift and a curse in his life.

From my limited observations of him over the years, I'm getting the sense he distanced himself from teammates and created rifts because he didn't want people to know the true Kobe. Which is a highly intelligent, eloquent man raised in an upper middle class multicultural backround. Perhaps he thought his peers wouldn't respect him as much because of this, so he tried to fit the mold of the Thug Poet, if you will...

I'm sure he looks back now and gets a big kick out of it. But he seems to be in a much happier place these days...

It's always funny hearing how he spoke when he was younger. His blaccent has been completely gone for years now.

Haha right. Probably one of the most cringeworthy moments was when he greeted Shaq and his son at the all-star game. 'Whats good yung bull?!?!?!'

I can understand why Shaq wanted no parts of him for years lol.

#MeToo.....Just not his victim. Unbelievable. I don't watch these shows, but to give a man an award who had to publicly apologize and pay off a lawsuit is ridiculous. Hollywood is full of lunatics.

Yeah, I guess he could've just lied and said he never even met her. That works for some, I guess.

Congrats, Kobe. The acceptance speech he and co-winner Glen Keane (legendary Disney animator) gave was among the best of the evening, very moving stuff.

Yes...yes they are. (I don't know if the Kobe video is great or not, but I'll eventually see it.)

"Kobe Bryant wins an Oscar in 2018"

Those words in that order seem like a huge oxymoron in our current political and pop culture. Color me confused

I have to say, I love some of these comments, especially from the same people who seem to have pending, sold, and/or profited off some Kobe cards. Do any of you (detractors) put your money where your mouth is and give any of your profits to organizations that help crisis women's shelters or helps in women who have been involved in domestic violence? Let the crickets chirp......

I always assumed Kobe raped that girl until I read that link, if you read the first couple paragraphs it completely exonerates him. The mountain of bullcrap the accuser used is ridiculous. She "borrowed" someone else panties that had another caucasian's pubic hair and semen in it already??? Really?

Kobe admitted it was non consensual sex (AKA rape) in a letter of apology written by him and then settled a civil suit out of court to keep it quiet. That is all fact.

I donated Furniture and office equipement to a Woman's Shelter. Does that make me qualified to give an opinion?

Actually thats not the case. He accepted the deal that was presented to him. She refused to testify and accepted the $$. They asked him to give a public apology in return for no guilt.

Quote:
Bryant admitted to an adulterous sexual encounter with his accuser, but denied the assault allegation. The case was dropped after Bryant's accuser refused to testify in the case. A separate civil suit was later filed against Bryant by the woman. This was settled out of court and included Bryant's publicly apologizing to his accuser, though admitting no guilt on his part.

Get your facts right. According to wiki "This was settled out of court and included Bryant's publicly apologizing to his accuser, though admitting no guilt on his part."

Kobe never had to admit to anything period. Whatever was settled behind closed doors so be it.

It was a terrible mistake that I'm sure he learned from and he's been a better pers
on for it and everytime y'all see Kobe in the spotlight, the rape thing is all you go back to.

Damn haters, lol....
