Makes sense since Simmons should have been in the All Star game (or was Goran Dragic too exciting to watch?)

3 Nuggets, the future is bright for them. Harris is underrated for sure, I didn't know he was only 23!

I'll take Lonzo and Ingram out, put Capela and Gordon in.
Also, would probably put Myles Turner ahead of Gary Harris.

Ingram at 4 and Lonzo on this list is silly.
Also, Gary Harris is still criminally underrated.

Nobody ever reads the intro to articles it seems....

I like the narratives. I’d personally drop Lonzoo and add Jaylen Brown. Embiid also needs to be in the list, even as an 11th addition with an * due to him being an All-Star this year. Otherwise the list is solid. Am I correct is thinking Porter signed a max contract this past offseason? He’s 24, still a potential star and already making max money? Crazy.

Idk how people think Lonzo is not promising. It's not like he was top 3 on that list or something.

I think there are 10 guys better for that list, that's all.

Pretty good list, all things considered.
Feels like they put Lonzo on there for the clicks. I'd take Capela instead. Myles Turner stock has taken a pounding this year. Just no progression. Good time to buy low? Jamal Murray--by the end of the season you might have to put him number 3 on this list. Dude is only 20 and since ~December has started to really put it together. I'm surprised his stuff hasn't exploded. Dude has every bit the potential that Booker has, and he has much better young teammates ensuring many future playoff appearances. Gary Harris--you have to love how much this guy has improved every single year. Excellent shooter, elite athleteticism, great BBIQ, emerging defensive prowess. I sometimes wonder if Tatum has been massively overhyped due to an insanely hot shooting stretch. Jury is still out a bit on him. Dario Saric has been on an absolute tear lately. Philly is gonna be a finals contender even if Fultz doesn't pan out. I was wrong on Ingram. He's gonna be something. Still only 20. Wouldn't put him number 4 but he's on the list for sure. |

Clicking on the links and digging into the analytics, I noticed that Simmons is second in the league among all players in Defensive Points Saved (DPS).
I always believe that advanced metrics need to be taken with a grain of salt, but when the some other names in the Top 10 of this metric include Andre Drummond, Al Horford, Draymond Green and Dwight Howard, it tells me it's a good list to be near the top of. This part of his game is very underrated. With Chris Paul missing a sizable part of the year, Patrick Beverly out all year and Tony Allen not playing much this season, Simmons *should* be a strong candidate for an All-NBA Defense spot. Among all guards, Simmons ranks 4th in steals, 2nd in rebounds and 1st in blocked shots. If the advanced metrics say so, and the counting metrics say so, maybe it's the truth. Or maybe they'll give it to Goran Dragic instead.

I think one criteria left out of this was "media sensation." Ball should not have been on this list. I don't believe him to be a bust, but I don't see him being the next Lebron either; more Bradley Beal type imo.

Nuggets need to try to keep their core together. Jokic, Murray, Harris are all really good.
I think Jaylen Brown and Zach LaVine are in the mix, too. |

I could be a homer but replace Lonzo with Dennis Smith.

If Lavine can stay healthy, he is tops on my list for sure. T-Mac potential with his explosiveness to the rack and a straight up offensive assassin.

Ok, maybe I get to be the homer... it if you make this a draft, then Ben Simmons goes #1, and I think every pick after that comes down to Devin Booker and someone else. Maybe you like Jokic better, two different guys, just your preference. And Mitchell is neck and neck in potential. But does someone really take Ingram or Tatum over Booker? I sure wouldn't.
