First trailer came out today, anyone else excited?

Every year I get the expensive one and every year I only play road to the show.

I’ll say this if you order from game stop out money down on ten of the elite editions or whatever they are called. Last year they ran out and they were selling for over 200 bucks. Samething will happen this year. And if for some reason you can’t sell them all you can take the money you put down for each game and it put it toward something else. It’s like a 50 dollar risk for almost 1000 dollar return

I reserved five of them. Looks like the are already swelling for anywhere from 175 to 195 dlvd. Pretty excited.

Started a RTTS guy last night. Was hoping to go with 'Mr. Reliable' type for a LF but it was not among the 4 options I was presented with so I went with 'Solid Option' instead.

Was horrible in the drills and second showcase game and came out as a 'C' potential, got drafted by the Marlins in the 23rd round (I think the days of being a first round pick are gone even if you manage an 'A' potential). My last RTTS guy in '17 ended up with the Marlins and since I only have 1 game played, I think I'm going to start over.

Guessing I will mostly play RTTS and DD for a while, never really have been a big Franchise player (and when I do a franchise, I just GM it).

My son was mad, today was supposed to be a teacher workshop day but because of all the snow days this winter they changed it to a school day. He won't be able to play until after practice (on a side note, he threw a bullpen session Wednesday and seems to be throwing harder than last year).

I just bought a PS4 so I can play the Show. I've never played before since I've been an xbox guy for a while. I'm going at lunch to pick up my copy. Any tips for a total noob?

Select beginner until you get the hang of things. You can always change it. I always try to play on a level that is challenging so in RTTS, I try to play on a high enough difficulty that I'm not hitting much over .300. (and on that note, the new RTTS is going to be rough for me. I don't take pitches often so it will be tough to raise my plate discipline. I also noticed that a swing and miss (not a strikeout) lowered my plate vision.).

How are they doing the guess pitch and location this year? They stopped giving you one or the other if one was right. Did they bring back that if you only get 1/2 right, it still shows you which one you got right?

I just picked up my copy a hour ago at GameStop. Too bad I have to wait until I finish my grocery shopping. I picked up additional packs.

I'm spending the weekend familiarizing myself with everything.

Opened about 150 packs. Best pull was a diamond Rizzo.

I got so used to the layout of 17 so I feel confused

They'd sell both ways. I don't think the value will change much on them

Switched over to Franchise about 3 years back. Really enjoy it. Don't really do the Diamond Dynasty anymore, as I get older and frugal it makes more sense to play franchise and try and build a team up and grab the superstars you want. .....for the price of the game lol

I like Road to the Show, but once I reach the majors, I get bored of it. I like the franchise mode on it, but with how often I just sim the games, I might be better off just playing OOTP.

Blows my mind that this game has the same issue every year at release. Servers are terrible. it'll all be fixed within a week or 2, but they should know what to expect by now

Other than my internet acting up, the servers have been fine for me. Only been down for routine maintenance which they have announced ahead of time in the website.

FYI. They'll be down 3am PT

The reason why I am waiting several weeks before getting it for my PS4. I played a little of it at my neighbor's house this AM. It's ok. Nothing spectacular.

Hopefully in a few weeks, there will be more discount priced/used copies available for sale.
