Default What is your biggest loss by selling too early?

I was reading a couple posts, and there always going to be cases of sellers remorse. I know it's better to sell for profit and move on without looking back. I decided to look back (and shouldn't have)

Gleyber is the one that destroyed me. I got about 2400$ in return for what is valued today at about 20,000$

2015
Base- 4 base moved at 30-40$ each
Base gems- 4 base gems moved from 60-85$ each
ref- 1 moved at 40$
ref pristine- moved at 200$
purple- 1 moved at 65$
purple gem- 1 moved at 160$
blue- 1 moved at 100$
blue gem- 4 moved at 140$-220$
green- 1 moved at 110$
green gem- 1 moved at 180$
gold gem- 1 moved at 350$
orange- light auto moved at 330$

Red Gleyber auto. Purchased for $800 and sold for $1200 a few months after the product released.

Not baseball, basketball...

2013-14 Prizm will haunt me forever. Still have the Photobucket album. I sold a lot of 120 rwb mosaic, red, green, and blue (really short print) for $65 at the national in Cleveland in 2014. In those 120 cards there were 2 Oladipo RWB mosaics, 1 Oladipo blue SP...

Plus 1 Giannis RWB Mosaic AND 1 Giannis blue SP.

A blue Giannis PSA 10 sold for $1,450 earlier this month.

Oh, only about $50,000 for selling a 2000 contenders Brady championship ticket auto when I pulled it back in 2000.

Same here. Not a crazy loss compared to some but I sold a base sterling auto for like $8

I bought like $700 of retail packs and don't even want to think what I sold everything for

Pulled a Ben Simmons 16-17 Prizm Teal Wave retail only parallel and sold it raw for about $550 last year. I've seen graded copies going for about $2K now.

Selling a buddy around 40 Tom Brady rookies (various brands) for $20 in 2002. He was a huge Michigan guy and I didn’t think twice.

I was looking at my old sales this weekend. I break and sell duplicates on Sportlots. In November 2011 I sold two base Trouts for .59 each.

Mine was not baseball but basketball. Back in 2008-09 I bought a box of Exquisite basketball and pulled a redemption card for a Michael Jordan / Lebron James dual Autograph “scripted swatches” numbered to only /5. I paid $500 for the box so I put it up on eBay to see what I could get. Ended up selling for around $1100-1200. That card today is $10,000+. Very few people saw what the future market for Uppder Deck basketball cards would be today and sold way too soon. It also helps that Lebron started winning some rings. I have regretted selling it since almost the day I mailed it. But It is what it is.

Similar story - pulled a Peyton Manning Contenders Rookie Ticket Auto in 1998 and sold it right away for $100.

I’ve come to realize that most perceived losses balance out over time so no sense in worrying about it. I remember selling a Matt Kemp BC blue auto for $140 or something and then I felt pretty dumb when it was a $500+ card a year later after his MVP caliber season. But....now the $140 I got seems like a steal!

Probably a Judge auto I sold back in the day for $20ish and the Rizzo Topps platinum rc 1/1 that I sold to his brother for something like $125 after he got traded from the Padres. It’ll probably never show up again, but don’t even know what it would be worth?
