Arrow How much longer will the Lakers put up with Lavar Ball?

Thought Magic had talked to him and had this under control. Apparently not. If the Lakers were smart, they would trade Lonzo Ball. His idiot father is not worth the hassle and issues he causes.

I say get what you can for Lonzo and move on. Build around Ingram, Kuzma and Randle.

Or tank and get Trae Young next year.

Nba will make sure Lakers get him.

I guess his son has never been man enough to tell him to shut up. What team would want to pick up his son when they know it comes with this idiot and his stupid comments?

If I had a dad that acted like him I'd disown him.

Well he wouldn’t be where he is now if it wasn’t for him, but at some point enough is enough.

Me too. I knew before the Lakers drafted him that Lavar was trouble to any team that took Lonzo.

LaVarr knows where and how they'll make their money; publicity. He also knows none of his kids are All-Stars.

Well at least now we know how Lebron can finally surpass Jordan he just has to go to the Lakers. Lavar is a true gem.

I don’t disagree with you. For some reason they don’t seem to like Randle as a cornerstone though. I also don’t think they could trade Ball until the offseason. It’s be interesting to see what type of offers he gets. They also can’t tank for a draft pick as their pick goes to either Philly or Boston.

They knew what they were getting so now they need to manage the situation. If they can’t it is in them, not on Lonzo. He isn’t a cornerstone guy but he has more value to them than he does as a trade asset. Management needs to figure it out.

I can see Lavar deterring FAs from going to LAL.
Maybe PG13 stays in OKC because he doesn't want to deal that circus?

No free agent will want to go to the Lakers if LaVar is running his mouth.

If an actual all-star or better caliber player (PG, LeBron, etc.) did sign with LAL it would be fascinating to see how LaVar would respond. No one would be even mentioning his son's name anymore. It would be the best thing for Lonzo, and the toughest thing for big daddy.

Even if nothing else changes, just simply not being a top recruit heading into the draft and then working through a rookie season will be fascinating to watch. The spotlight is going to shrink heading into next season (as it does for most second year players) and with no other sons worth discussing the name LaVar will not be a thing. He's going to force it.

They don't need to tank, they are at the bottom of the table already. And even if I am sorry for the true Lakers fans, I'm loving every bit of it.

But if the Lakers pick is #2-#5, it goes to the Celtics.

Makes it pretty difficult to tank....

Then there is another layer of protections that I forget about that could result in the Celtics actually only getting a 2nd round pick.

Either way, Boston fans want the Lakers 2018 pick to be numbers 2-5 and I don't think Philly would mind that either. It would allow them to plan on having two number one picks in 2019 with one being Sacramento's.

Considering that LAL had already traded away a 2018 1st round pick, doesn't that make the drafting of Ball that much worst? They easily could have traded that pick or drafter someone that is more valuable in Tatum, DSJ, Mitchell, etc.

Just got to go to a Lakers shoot around for being a STH and Lonzo was putting in extra work afterwards. Lots of shots
