Bought 2 cards off a seller (Ebay) combined shipping, all is well, right?
Wrong.. Its now officially been 1 week, made the purchase LAST friday, 9/22. It is now the 29th. Sent him a message Wednesday through Ebay "5 days, no ship, no contact, whats up?" No reply... Now, I know this whole "I pay, you send" thing is hard for some people and not everyone is as responsive as I would prefer, etc, etc.. but what in the f?? What say you? Do I just initiate the return? Items never set, and Neg him (deservedly so) I really dont want to deal with retaliatory negging, because I have 100% fb. Seller: hrk83102 Last edited by Bassplayah101; 09-29-2017 at 07:09 PM. |

Sellers cannot neg buyers, so as far as retaliatory neg goes, should not be an issue.

The dude has like 10 thousand items listed, including new ones. (i was just looking) That tells me that hes not dead, or in the hospital/jail and his computer definitely works. The cards in question haven't come up for resale. Per my screenshot, it says the estimated delivery is next week. (oct 2-6) I can deal with slow shipping, but I didnt know it would take him this long, as nothing was mentioned. This was written in the auction description by the seller: Item will be shipped quickly and safely after payment is received. Free Combined Shipping within a 7 day period. I pay immediately, always.. It also says this in on the auction pages: Estimated within 6-10 business days Includes 5 business days handling time after receipt of cleared payment. |

I think if you have it by the 6th, per eBay, there shouldn't be a neg. Anything after that, it's up to you. Think you're a bit early on a refund.

This. If it hits your doorstep on 10/6, that's within eBay standards. You could ding his ratings though for communication, possibly shipping. I don't think you can even start an item not received until the 7th

Seriously what's up with buyers not looking at the turn around time. If you don't have it by the 6th then open the case. I don't think eBay will let you before then anyway. It tells you when you should have it by before you purchase. If you don't agree with that then don't buy it.

The last thing I want to do is neg someone. I think Ive only done it once, ever and it was because the item was never shipped. Not my style, but thanks T.. lol Quote:
I was on the fence regarding whether or not I was being inpatient because Im used to seeing my purchases in a "shipped" status in 2-3 days. Thanks for your honest opinions, specifically the ones that don't insinuate ignorance, or come off as combative. Ill follow up if/when I receive in order to close out the thread. |

Went and looked at the seller's other listings, and they all say est. shipping 10-14 days from now. I get the frustration with the lack of reply, but the listings do state the shipping length. Again, if it's not there by the 6th, you wouldn't be in the wrong with any decision.

5 business days handling and the estimated delivery is 10/2-10/6.
A neg because it didn't arrive early? Nope. An Ebay case because it didn't arrive early? Nope. No response to an email on the 3rd day of a 5 business day handling time? Sure, I can see being a little annoyed, but I'm sure the seller was annoyed as well since the listing states 5 business days handling, and your email was on business day 3. If it's not there by the 6th, open an "item not received" case. Until then, I don't see what the issue is (other than a slight annoyance communication wise on both the buyer's and seller's sides). |

I stated above, I might be being a little inpatient because this isn't the norm. Thats why I asked everyone.. Thanks for your opinion. Quote:
I am a customer though, so a quick note shouldnt make anyone break into a cold sweat. I appreciate the opinions. I think the consensus is Im being inpatient, and I would agree. Im going to have a coke and a smile and stfu.

Except I sell 40 items a day, all with the handling time stated, and you're the 10th customer who sent "just a quick note" and its better to ignore you before I snap your head off for being an impatient little blank who doesn't read the blanking listing! I'm not the seller and you're not the buyer, just shining a little light on the situation lol |
