As a Marlins fan, it's been fun to watch. He's got 4 bombs in the last 3 games vs. the Phillies, and he had a 5th that was about 1 foot short. I need to pick up a BC auto of him soon.

I find it funny how they continue to pitch to him when a judge is walked or nibbled around the plate. He is making them pay.

Not really, he's still owed what $290 million on his current contract? He's not going anywhere unless Miami eats a bulk of the salary

That might be trouble with his contract. Next year his yearly salary will nearly double in going from 14.5 this season to starting his big contract lump sums in 2018 at 25 million, then 26million, 26. He could opt out of contract after 2020 but not likely with after that he'll be getting 29-32 million a year while being in his early to mid-30's. Teams might also worry about his durability as only 2 of his previous 7 seasons has he played more than 123 games for the season and this is while he's in his prime 20's

Very true. Miami would be best to move him and re-load the farm. that would also boost the teams value for sales purposes, one would think

No team is gonna unload their whole farm system That's what it will take His base gem sells regularly for about $200 and fluctuates when he goes on a tear like now There's only a handful of non prospect players that sell in that range He doesn't have to leave Miami to get premium prices on his auto Couple years go I sold a blue gem for a grand.....

How would not having Stanton on the team boost the value of the Marlins? Cause they don't have to pay his salary? He's the face of the team people go to the ballpark to watch him hit bombs

I think he meant having a loaded farm system would make the team more attractive to buyers.
