Default Total Player Cards - Noob question

I've seen in some folk's signatures that they have x% (xx of xxx) of a specific player's cards. Where do you find out how many different cards exist for a particular player? Or am I totally miss reading this? Thanks.

Beckett has a pretty good database. Many of us use that and/or make spreadsheets. I have a Daniel Murphy one that I used Beckett as a base for

Beckett is the most complete checklist out there. There will always be things missing with any source (misc. food inserts, stadium giveaways, etc), but Beckett's is by far the most complete. Trading Card DB is nice, but it relies on the community to build it's checklists, so I'm always cautious on that. One thing I do like if you know what sets your player is in is Cardboard Connection. Their stuff is best from 2010 on, but no way to search by player that I'm aware of, but very good for finding out cards from a specific set

I use Beckett as it is complete, while others are user based.

Thanks all for the info. Thinking about starting a Gamecock PC and would like to find a list of cards. The # of players is easy. # of cards is a different story.
