Who's getting this? My wife said that for my "Christmas Present" that I could get the Switch! I'm pumped as you can play it both at home and on-the-go. What does everyone else think?

My husband really wants one. He is saving $100 from his Christmas stash and I may cover the rest for valentine's day. I am a sweet wife like that. I have 0 interest in gaming systems.

He was talking about the Zelda add on last night. I have no clue what that means.

was a discussion on this before. generation cupcake is something BO made up and I think it's funny. millenials... some folks say it's from people born in 80s... seems very broad to me

Not sure about the Zelda add on. I do know that the new Zelda is going to be amazing. It's a full open world so you can just run around and explore if you feel like it. Kind of like grand theft auto. Looking forward to January 13th when they announce the price etc.

And Generation Cupcake is technically like 1984-2000 but I call anyone who thinks they deserve a participation trophy part of Generation Cupcake

i don't know how this is going to play out as a system.

definitely a better option than the wii U, which was just advertised so poorly nobody know what it was (I thought it was what the switch ended up being, and when i found out it wasn't i felt that it was a terrible misstep).

then again, i'm only really a sports gamer now, and Nintendo has gone away from that stuff.

Nintendo will always stay with it's staples (Zelda, Mario, Mario Kart, DK, etc..) - and is great for multi-player couch games. I hope it ends up well as I am planning to buy!

Preordering has started. I just bought mine from Target.com. $299.99 seems pretty good. Apparently, extra controllers are $79.99. I held off on that. It seems like each controller splits into 2 so hopefully I'll just need one extra controller to play 4 player games.

Anyone else preorder?

I preordered from Target also. I did the 10.00 shipping as it says it will arrive on 3/3 (release day). Preordered Zelda on Best Buy as there was no shipping charge (also arriving 3/3)
