I've noticed a big spike in interest (offers)...though most buyers are hoping to buy in line with comps from a month or two ago. Wishful thinking IMO!

I just got hit at $5k on my bowman chrome 70th blue auto...I countered, but I’m happy the guy’s at least in the ballpark. Some of the offers are just stupid. Not really wanting to sell it so he’s gonna have to get to my number or I’ll hang on to it.

Here's the tricky part. Timing.
I don't have any really significant Rons to sell but if I did waiting to sell once the games start would make me very nervous. Not because I don't have faith in him as a player. Rather, wild pricing fluctuations based on small sample sizes are a real thing these days. to the point that an 0-16 start to spring could put a serious little damper on all the excitement for a couple weeks. Not predicting it or hoping it will happen. I just hate thinking about the possibility of it happening.
Of course smart card people would see this as an opportunity to capitalize on a short term dip to buy more but it wouldn't be the "new $" people that are driving his prices to new heights. It would be the 6 or 8 guys on here with a decent bankroll and knowledge of how this stuff works.
It's the double edged sword of having cards of the hottest young player in the sport.
Not a bad problem to have but it does come with some consternation.
Unless of course you're holding more med-long term or forever, then none of this stuff matters.
I wish everyone the best with their Acuna collections/investments. His continued success can only be a good thing for the market and the hobby overall.

Did sell a couple topps update golds, but got them at $50 last spring and still have some others I am holding so I was happy to make some money to put into luka or patty.

Seems like a tough card to get in gem mint. Most of the ones I've seen are mint only.

The Minis are actually serial numbered aren't they? The rest are not.

I totally agree with selling some to upgrade to a better card. Selling now because you think he has peaked... I'd say wait a few more months. You'll be happy you did.... But still kick yourself early June when he is in MVP talks
