I'm constantly selling some Ohtanis and buying others. Some of them I bought just with the intention of selling later for profit, some I bought thinking I'd keep them long term and just grew tired of them or the potential profit grew too large to pass up on a card that was replaceable later on.

I have a document that lists all the Ohtani slabs I've owned before but traded or sold and it has 65 entries whereas my current Ohtani PC has 21 slabs in it.

I've never even sold a raw Ohtani, I buy those and they get sucked into my topload binder and never leave.

EDIT: Also should mention that when I'm doing an in person deal trying to sell non-Ohtani cards I often take Ohtanis off the other person's hands to soften the cash blow in order to get certain deals over the finish line. That's also a big reason why I cycled through 65 Ohtani slabs I never ended up keeping. Doing that you end up picking up stuff like PSA 10 S2 base rookies and the like.

That's where it's at. The only purchases I could make sense of the last 4-6 weeks have been PC additions. FF reds, trout/sho dual, throwbacks, and that GG.

I’m collecting to hold long-term. I picked up most of my stuff pre-50/50 but am still looking for some cool (but mostly lower-end) cards to add to my PC. I have about 325 different Ohtani cards at this point. Looking forward to building the 50/50 set

That feels like the most likely outcome. I'm not sure if Roberts (or more importantly the Dodgers front office will want him starting) but I could certainly see them letting him close out a game.

That just feels so risky for me…I don’t know why. He hasn’t thrown competitive pitches for a year. Why not let him build up over the spring?

My worry is that we forget that Sho was amped up and throwing 102 in the 9th during the WBC. That's a lot of torque on an arm that hasn't been built up. Gotta figure it's going to take that game 7 with a toasted pen for it to happen.

I get all the concern and honestly I don't know enough about pitching mechanics and rehab to know exactly how risky it would be for him to pitch in the WS.

I'm also not certain whether it could be possible that Ohtani has been prepping for it behind the scenes or not without the public really being aware of how ready his arm could possibly be by then.

I just want to see cool things happen but yeah, if it means Ohtani takes undue risk I'm not really into that either.

This is me to a T. Mostly buying raw to grade and sell or keep. I rarely buy graded but I will if it is a steal or a rare card.

I've sold hundreds of Ohtani slabs.
My box of raw Ohtani is running out of room!
