Nobody can answer that question without knowing how the dodgers do in the playoffs. If they get bounced in the first series and Sho goes 2-20, I would go all out and buy what you need a few weeks after. If dodgers win or Sho goes off, all bets are off.

I don't own a single base or parallel of that Bowman Chrome batting card because I think its wildly overpriced. Sure, its a gorgeous card but I just don't get the hype.

Might as well go for the auto with the same image if you're going to pay that much. It's like buying a fully loaded Hyundai when you could have bought the Honda for a touch more. I never understood the hype either.

Ippei getting caught might have been the best thing to happen for Shohei this year. Replaces his degenerate gambling stealing interpreter "business partner" with a loving wife and dog, gets to be just one of the boys in blue and has a season for the ages.

I know for a lot of collectors in general, personality doesn’t come into play a huge amount when choosing a PC, but that story(and others like it)is one of the biggest reasons I originally chose to collect Ohtani.

Even on the field its pretty clear his personality is coming out more and more with Ippei gone.

I sort of get the feeling reading that article when they talk about the communications between Shohei and the team before Ippei got canned that Ippei tried to Keep Shohei isolated and make sure he was a middle-man.

Honestly wouldn't even surprise me if Ippei worked to convince Shohei that his english was worse than it was to ensure he could continue being that middle man (and also to ensure he could keep robbing him). Its all really sad.

As much as he’s accomplished, this almost never gets brought up (probably because it was during the year he didn’t win MVP), but I totally agree.

Ohtani pitching is really something special to watch. Seeing him strike out a batter and then come and bat and hit a double or a home run right after is wild
