I love that card so much. That final price is around what I sold mine for months ago and it was definitely the high water mark at the time. It was one of those situations where I didn't even want to sell it but I couldn't turn down the price. Pretty sure I shed a tear as I was packaging it up.

Ok... question for folks on here

I now own four of the ‘18 Heritage “white text error” cards, all in slabs and mislabeled (3 PSA 10 and 1 BGS true gem)

What do you do w/ cards like that? Ask to be reholdered? Sell as is, but clarify that they are the white text? Other?

I certainly need only one, but the opportunity to turn for some quick $$ was hard to pass up

As in they are in holders that have them marked as just regular? I would have them reholdered, unless someone wants to pay you the rate of White Text error and is in the know as well.

I have a white text error that PSA holdered as Bright Yellow Back Error

Not sure which is more rare, I have been meaning to send in 4-5 mislabeled but they are in my PC so I never get around to it.

It's a good sale, sold mine on March 9th for $1295 on eBay via BIN. I wonder if the seller would have put HMT10 in the title if they would have done better.

Was not excited about moving the card -- but just couldn't say no at that price.

So you are saying I shouldn’t have moved my BGS min gem (9 corners) red #/25 for $1700 last week... I thought it might go to $2k on auction on eBay so was break even at that price

I guess I forgot these got to $700-800 in Jan... and have been closer to $1k last few weeks

Hey guys. Looking to pick up some low to mid end Bellingers as an investment, and some for my PC. I mostly collect football, but have slowly started branching out to baseball, my other love.
Can anyone tell me why the 2016 Bowman Chrome 1st Bowman is so overlooked and inexpensive? PSA 10s are going for around $80. Seems like a sweet card to pick up. What am I missing?

Non auto??? Historically the 1st Bowman Autos are the only really focus cards

Like for like non-autos often sell for 2% of the auto price... where in RCs the non-autos are often more like 30-50%.

Ok good to know. So is the non auto 1st bowman worth buying in bulk if I feel like his prices are going to go up across the board? Or should I put it in to one or two autos?

If his first bowman chrome non auto had the 1st logo it would have a lot more value. Anything without the 1st Bowman Chrome logo doesn’t tend to have much value even if it is their first non auto bowman chrome card.

If the 1st Bowman is an auto only in the set, Bellinger didn’t have a base in the 2015 product, Yordan Alvarez didn’t have a base in the 2018 product, the 1st base chrome doesn’t carry the 1st Bowman logo because it’s not the 1st Bowman (the auto was), so the second card doesn’t really carry a premium. Unlike say Acuna’s 2017 had both the auto and base card in the same set so they are both 1st Bowman’s and as such both are sought after. Was that clear as mud, welcome to Bowman, also there are 3 different Bowman products per year so keep those straight too, Bowman Prospects (with 100 card paper MLB set), Bowman Draft (all Prospects/Draft Picks), and Bowman Chrome (100% Chrome product with both Prospects/MLB). And good luck remember who is in what set after a few years, it all runs together and some players have cards in all 3 sets because Topps wants to water down the product

Just bought this 2017 Update Gold PSA 9 for $78. Been wanting one, but the 10s are beyond my reach. Given the known print run, thought this was reasonably priced. It will sit next to my Belli "High Fives" PSA 9.

This in a nutshell is the new guard of collecting. And i mean no disrespect, but the “uninformed” new to the baseball card hierarchy person who doesn’t know what exactly to look for may search these out and drive up the prices of the second level stuff.

I think we are seeing a lot of this... especially w/things like chrome refractor and other unnumbered parallels taking off while not seeing the same level of increase in normal #d parallels... also things like wave parallels reaching similar levels as non-wave color, etc.
