right? i thought Rico Brogna had such a cool name. and his Upper Deck card was pretty cool too. Wilfredo Cordero's card was so vibrant and i figured the Expos magic would turn him into the next superstar in that pipeline.

hahaha. i could probably dig those cards up somewhere tucked away in those plastic hinged cases that hold a stack of cards. you don't see those cases anymore!

Mason Martin, former Pirates prospect. Still have a handful of his better Bowman autos.

Ron Davenport. As a Jays fan, I simply couldn't wrap my head around the prices his 2001 Bowman Chrome auto was selling for back then. Didn't understand it then, still don't understand it now, but I did pick up a copy for $3 recently.

I’m sure they’ve been mentioned but Josh Sale and Dayan Viciedo are up there. Brett Lawrie’s 2011 Chrome Autos were INSANE as well. I remember opening 2009 draft and being bummed I pulled a Trout Auto instead of Jared Mitchell.

Still trying to retire off my Gregg Jeffries and Jerome Walton rookie hoards. Those 1989 topps future stars Jeffries cards I still have an 800 count box full of them. Still holding on

I have about 20 Cody Johnson Bowman Chrome Autos that I should just start using as coasters.

My first would have been Joe Charboneau. Fell off a cliff.
You want fell off a cliff? How about Gary Sanchez? Other Yankees have been mentioned but I don't think anyone said Tyler Austin or Peter O'Brien. Those two really got me.

In 2007 I opened several(and I mean several)cases of Elite Extra Edition. I liked that it had a bunch of decent draft picks that weren’t in Bowman Draft that year. Plus, it was 4 autographs per box with hot boxes having an auto in every pack. Did really well selling all the Josh Donaldson and Dellin Betances autos a couple years later and eventually some Scherzers too. But took an absolute bath on some the bums I stockpiled:
Jordan Walden
Jack McGeary
Travis Mattair
Francisco Pena
Steven Souza
Fun product at dealernet b2b pricing back then and probably the last year I was heavy into minor leaguers.

My guy was Corey Patterson with the Cubs. I haven't jumped in with a prospect from my favorite team since, not worth the trouble.

I thought he was going to be a legend. Watched him when he was in Class A hit a HR, and the ball just sounded different off his bat than any other hitter. Such an easy swing and the ball kept carrying.
