So I just opened a Lite box- pulled a Pedri Black & Gold Starball /30. However, the back is of Mohamed Daramy 23/30. Now what? Does it carry any more value due to the error? Should I send back to Topps for replacement?

Hey thanks to everyone who got back to me with input on the Mane, appreciate it and looks like I listed it within reason -ish. Bit painful to list a fun pull like that but I’m also eyeing a possible new acquisition and could use the funding source. So - I’m open if anyone has offers here, never sold off-ebay before but have enjoyed lurking the forums and would be happy to if anyone was interested. Long story short pm’s are open I guess.

Also +1 for Lite boxes being a blast to open at the price.

Topps did a nice job with this set and the first edition. Love the look of the cards... passed on opening boxes (went with Panini products instead)

I did do the SPFL chrome and get a 1/1 of someone (forget whom)

Same pack odds as the standard /25 orange... so presumably the same. But autos in general that aren't numbered are tough to pin down as not all may have consistent volumes and you don't know if all are represented at all.

I wouldn't bet my life on all being /25 but I also don't think the LIKELY volume of any individual is far enough off of that such that it matters. I think they will ultimately lag behind the orange counterparts so if you fancy the lava, you'll be getting a "discount" compared to similar PR'd cards (w/o the full benefit of knowing).

Can you post link to the auction? I tried a search on various eBay sites and couldn't find it.

Edit - nevermind I found it. Looks like it's only posted on the ebay.com site with shipping only to US buyers - that will reduce your potential customer base.

Yeah I grabbed an Alisson for pretty cheap last week. The black/gold, red/gold and orange/gold are a lot more rare but there aren't a bunch popping up yet. I'm hoping some of the unnumbered ones fly under the radar a bit. Gold lava also.

I think the vomit of parallels is going to have all kinds things to watch.

I'm not excited/optimistic on things like the P/G Starball. Anything above 100 for a PR is going to have too many options PLUS they've increased parallels so much that there are even ALTERNATIVES at that level. Non HUGE stars don't have /150 or /250 holding up in PREVIOUS years... let alone a non-numbered to that WITH plenty of alternatives this year. Including refractor/speckle/Ray Waves you've got 15 parallels with PRs above 100 (numbered and non-numbered). That's B-A-N-A-N-A-S.

Now the LAVA this year are maybe more interesting as I think those may pop-up with lower fanfare and still be interesting to me with non-intuitively low Print Runs. I still don't know that there is hobby gold in there... but I can PROBABLY pick up something with a sub 75 PR for the same price as or less than a numbered counterpart above 200.

I still cannot believe this was an actual sale that went through. Makes no sense to me. Then again, neither did someone paying $200+ for my Xavi Simons Gold Atomic Merlin last year..

If anyone is looking for bulk base unsorted and nothing pulled let me know. I have 2 lite cases worth that customer wants to sell. I can get you count of better players if interested.

Given that volume, probably pretty good bet it's 5-9 per player with 1500 total base cards... so ~7 sets.
