NOTE: 20-21 did a lot with bubbles and carbon that didn't get numbers and it seems that 21-22 is going away from that. THAT BEING SAID, I think we are still looking at an increase in per-player parallels for the "<300" volume... maybe +10%.

This talks about Lite and Hobby... but no blaster/retail mention (yet?).

I would expect an increase in product of 2x+ as is... so maybe 8,000 cases plus whatever double the retail from last year in Lite equivalents... whatever 55,000 blasters is.

The 200 card base set is good and bad... good because we'll get a deeper look at some of these rosters... bad because it waters down the Gavi or whoever that big hit is. If we see a prices get more reasonable? maybe a nice trade off. If they stay like they have this year? Kinda sucks.

Lite boxes are 132 on Blowout. Thinking about getting one. A few rookies in here may make it a safe purchase down the line. If not I lost before.

I was thinking the same, was curious how much Topps may charge for Lite. Figure I get them faster from BO anyway.

Not huge in to soccer. How does this checklist compare the regular topps just released? Gavi still the chase?

There's more than Gavi. There's also Jonathan David, Sesko and Gonçalves (though he is 24 this year).

Aside from those four though, the rest are medium to high risk punts.

I’m shocked that Topps wouldn’t include Gavi autographs in this set. Seems like they’re taking a step back this year in delivering top quality rookie autographs for its consumers.

It's not always as easy as "let's go get Gavi to sign our cards". Lots more goes into it than that. Commercials, player availability, etc.

I think there are some decent rookie autos in this checklist though.

Nobody is burning through cases looking for a Sesko or Charlie Savage auto.

This is 100% true.


There might be a few “decent” rookie autographs but hunting for “decent” rookies and not “superstar” rookies in a 100 card set is fine, but now that it is a massively overparalleled and overproduced 200 Card set is pointless. Gavi was a must have autograph in this set and Topps missing out on that opportunity to me is dumbfounding.

Gavi was a must have autograph in this set for many collectors and Topps missing out on that opportunity to me is dumbfounding. Whether they needed to add him as a redemption, whatever it took they should have done it. But you know what! As they’d say, too bad so sad and Oh well! They’ll still sell all their boxes. Hopefully it’ll keep boxes super cheap and affordable so that more kids and entrants can afford to get into soccer cards which is what truly is what I think is the true purpose of this set is anyways, like how they did with Topps flagship.

There will be many more products this year that I think will be much more worth the wait. Just have to be patient

Even without the overproduction, the simple fact that they went from 100 to a 200 player checklist kills the value. Every valuable player would have been in a 100 player checklist, they just added a lot of filler for the rest.

At best, if last year's boxes are going for 400, this should be going for 240 (60% of that). And that's with an inferior rookie class and a possible increase in print run (not to mention market saturation).
