So both took the easy path to a title.
They both did what they did to make it easier. However, there is a difference between switching teams if you switched to the team you couldn't beat the year prior and was by far considered the league's top team when you're a player like Durant in your prime.

Had Durant joined another team to take out the Warriors it wouldn't have been as big of a deal. To be the man, you beat the man, not ride their coattails.

Is this a general rule in competition and in life or does it only apply to certain individuals?

I didn't move on quietly. Was at the theater watching Deadpool 2. Again, 4 Finals, 2 titles. Talking to a crazy crowd. I thought I would be shown an actual interview, not a staged fan bonanza.

Ray Allen, 36, with his 14-3-2, is absolutely the same as Kevin Durant, 27, 28-8-5 (PS: I'm not bashing Durant, just stating the obvious).

All the top players in the history of the NBA got help in their path to the Finals, whether it is by having fellow top players added to their franchise (Abdul-Jabbar-Magic, Bird-McHale-Parish, Malone-Stockton, Olajuwon-Drexler, Jordan-Pippen, Kemp-Payton, Robinson-Duncan, Bryant-O'Neal, Bryant-Gasol, Wade-O'Neal, Wade-LeBron-Bosh, Curry-Thompson-Durant etc) or by being traded to another franchise (Garnett-Allen, O'Neal, Durant, etc).

Not every great player is lucky enough to be drafted by the right team at the right time, and to be perceived as a "warrior who sticks with his franchise and doesn't give up when things go south".

LOL, so delusional...
73-9 team.. you have them down 3-1 in the Conference Finals.
They come back and beat you cause you are a flat out choker.
Then you run with your tail between your legs to join that team months later.

Most cowardly move ever.

And gsw fans defend it now even moreso because they know without him, they wouldn't have the last 2 rings. #truth

A couple W's ahead of yourself with the last 2, they've still only got one with KD, at least for another week or so, but yeah, in all likelihood. I completely agree

Never said they were the same. I just said James wouldn't have title #2 if it wasn't for Ray Allen leaving to join the team that beat him in the playoffs.

Is anyone going to talk about tonight's game or are we going to keep rehashing the same thing stated numerous times in other threads?

Ok: On to tonight. I say the Cavs actually pull it out by 10 or less.

I think Warriors win this by 20+ and Lebron has one of his worst games of the playoffs for him. Body too worn out

I’m hoping for a great game. Still think Warriors win this game too. Warriors are just better. But maybe the Cavs supporting cast steps up. Would like to see Korver have a good game but want to see JR light it up tonight. JR deserves some redemption.

Impossible to say that. LOL if it wasn't ray allen, it would have been another heat shooter. He just happened to be there at the right time. if he wasn't there, Bosh would have kicked it to another shooter.

But Yes, heap your hate on Ray Ray for the move, NOT lebron cause he happened to be the benefactor.

I am not hating on all the Warriors players, just KD.

I want the series to go to at least 6.

I especially want to see Jeff Green tomahawk dunk on KD's head then taunt him and not get T'd.

Iggy is back tonight, in case the Warriors didn't already have enough weapons to win the series
