I will not be buying into the dodger "rookie" hype. My money is going to continue flowing in 2018 and a few PC continuation sets.

I always used to chuckle when people would pedal you Lebron's "Laker Rookie" card. The value in that seems short lived.

Just my opinion, and I've been wrong before, but when it's all done, people aren't going to be asking for 2024 Dodger cards when there's nine other years (at least).

I firmly believe there is no single human capable of moving the Ohtani market now. It's too big

I want that card too, but when somebody finally hits one of those, it'll probably be listed around $400-600 if not more.

Just might have to wait until he has an actual card from in game photography for series 2 or update.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/315152348415 - The guy who is selling this is saying that he bought it at an estate sale. Almost certainly fake, right? Worst case scenario, it'd go through eBay Authenticity Guarantee.

It's not almost certainly. Just certainly. Back looks like a xerox copy.

lol that's an amazingly good fake. As in, it's amazing it could be that far from good.

He's also got this totally legit gold Trout rookie. ebay.com/itm/315152356327

I guess the person whose estate he got it from must have cracked it out of the PSA (10) slab...

So, is this guy just hoping eBay Authenticity Guarantee somehow looks past these fakes? I don't get it. Regardless, thanks for the heads up. Glad I didn't bid.

Ohtani hit nine home runs in two rounds of BP — including one he seemingly got under and grunted at, yet still sent sailing out to left-center

Close your eyes and recall how many uncompetitive at bats Sho had in Aug/Sep with nobody protecting him. Now add the intentional walks. Now add the games he missed from pitching injury/fatigue. Then add two MVP candidates in front of him and an all-star behind.

Yes to 50+. Very yes.

I can see 60!

He'll hit 6 or so in June when they're @ Coors. Unfortunately the next trip to Coors after June is the final 3 games of the regular season.
