Nice on what you found! I’d like to get my hands on some more Eagle Rare. I’ll be scouting out a couple places in the next couple days

I have no problem getting eagle rare in, your best bet is talking to your local liquor store and see what distributors they use. Those that use bigger distributors would be able to get it no problem at all. Then again it is not as popular where I am at. Most of my customer's order angel's envy on the high end or buffalo trace on the lower end.

I am personally Woodford Reserve guy myself. Woodford rye old fashioned add dark chocolate bitters, does not disappoint.

Yah just about every person I talk to down here about Bourbon is looking for Eagle Rare They have places that get it regular but you have to be there the day they stock it. I’ve only really been deep into Bourbon for about 5 months now (generally just drank Crown) but PingBling and Babyface were right Anything made by the Buffalo Trace distillery is where it’s at Currently in love with Eagle Rare at the moment I’d like to try the Woodford Reserve Double Oak

Double oak is great but it’s hard for me to drop $55 on it when I can get great bourbons I love for almost half the price. If you haven’t tried it definitely get a bottle.

Has anyone tried the TX Texas Straight Bourbon? I’ve heard a few people say they love it and I love their TX Blended Whiskey. Just wanted to get some others’ thoughts on it.

It's the regular Maker's but bottled at full barrel proof, right? I've considered trying that as well as Maker's 101 but always talk myself out of them in favor of something more interesting. Guess I should give a try though since they're affordable and I'm curious.

Yes, that is correct. It hasn't been blended or proofed down, pulled straight from the barrel. For the price it is definitely in my rotation.

Tried a few new ones over a guys trip. Walcott bottled in bond. It’s a total wine exclusive and like the regular bottling of Walcott it’s such a great value and taste. We also went through a bottle of Blantons (always solid),the duke (surprisingly good for a celebrity themed bourbon), and first call (ok cheap bourbon but wouldn’t buy it again).

I picked up a bottle of Macallan 18 Sherry Oak recently. Was just sitting there for months. Seemed wrong, so I bought it.

Can't wait to crack it soon.

Opened a bottle of Blantons last night. The more bourbon I drink I just realize it just isn't that good for the price. Probably the last bottle I buy of it. Overhyped.

I will say I was able to get it for $70. ABC opened their vault last week. I wanted to get a bottle of Wellers or Eagle Rare, but they sold out immediately.
