I was thinking because Gwynn is one of the least popular players in the set, to scale back a little bit in terms of how many autos I offer. However the project has exploded so much since I launched my last Williams autos. Still thinking about it... open to your thoughts.

Another tier or two...

$5 still get access to autos (maybe not all of them) - a voucher to send in our personal cards at the end of the set for a full autoed set that we buy from Topps. $25 a card for an autoed set would be great and really accessible by everyone - collectors would not mind waiting until end of the set.

Next tier $100 - all of the $5 access - but a guaranteed access to autos (basically raising your autos price - but you would be able to judge demand). Could put a limit on how many can be purchased

Next, next $300 - you make us all breakfast, everyone gets a fanny pack and money bear and blob plus the $100 tier and $5 tier

Then autos left go to the public.

Maybe also at each level have the opportunity for a 1/1 embellished card of some sort randomly.

Could this be the set that that breaks all the molds? Absolutely. Would I put my $7K up on that, which is what I’d have to commit to undertake it, no I wouldn’t so I didn’t.

I love that money is pouring into this and taking some of the shine off other things that I collect and I hope it continues so I can get cards I like more for cheaper than I should as money pours into this.

As it stands Topps has printed 500,000+ cards. If everybody got in at $15 they’ve generated $7.5M already. That’s an awesome achievement!

Being reasonable and trying to give advice to help some people out is nice of you, seriously. But some of us actually like the cards, some of us only bought the ones we like, some of us bought only to flip. Some people have lots of cards some people have a few. I think I can speak for everyone and say we all know deep down the risk here, even if the people you're arguing with won't admit it to you. Today was humbling and I don't know what happens next. I've seriously considered selling everything I'm holding and still enjoying the high PR ones for my PC. I've talked to BoredLawyer, and I think he's got some really good sensible advice, and it's important to listen to people who might have a different perspective than you. You say we're helping you get cards you want cheaper, that's awesome. We're buying the cards we want right here, for many different reasons. Neither of us is wrong.

Moving forward I personally don't think there's that much interest from art fans. But I think this is extremely attractive to sports fans because it IS art. So many different styles, we've got beer cartoonists, boob cartoonists, muralists, whatever JK5 is, fashion designers, yearbook doodlers, jewelers. Take your pick. I think it has broken the mold.

There's 20 different artists and 20 different players. Over 100,000 is a lot but this is a big set in itself.

I don't think you need to scale back. Current demand is through the ROOF for autos (see Siff and Shore's recent releases). I don't think player popularity makes much of a difference. People just want the customized boxes and the autos on cool looking cards - and Gwynn's card looks awesome. Hoping you raise prices too so i have enough time to get what I want...lol.

Btw, offering the black unnumbered autos with the dynamic pricing was a stroke of genius. It's a great fall back for those that get shut out (or priced out) of the numbered ones.

If i was new to Project 2020, the Don C set would be the ideal set to collect because all you need is the Frank Thomas. Problem is it's getting expensive very quickly.
