COMC would, thats who

Yeah you’re right. We should all just be totally ignored after paying a premium to get the cards
What’s the point of their timelines if they aren’t even remotely close to being accurate? I can imagine the thousands in the same boat

Thank you for contacting us. Your order has been packaged for transit to Canada, and has not been shipped out yet.
I believe they take Canadian orders physically across the border to mail them to make it cheaper This could be what it means they have it ready to ship it just has not been carried over the border and mailed yet.

Great, that's a good way to look out for the best interest of their customers. That way they don't need to charge a premium for shipping ..

That affects their bottom line so that wont happen

Well, that didn’t last long. Up to 9.2% now. 10% here we come!

Hey guys!!! I need help. I sent a small batch and I can't remember what was the card's fee, it was before the latest changes...

How big is a discount now? 50% or 20%?

Finally! My no-rush "priority" shipment of about 145 cards is heading my way

Date Requested: 11/20/2020
Estimated Ship Date: 2/25/2021
Actual Ship Date: 4/27/2021
Estimated Delivery Date: 3/3/2021

When they missed my original date I began emailing them and they quoted a new date of 3/30 which they also missed by a month. Was hoping to have some of the baseball cards before the season started

I'll be curious to see how these are packed.

They don't, on the website it says they ship from only from one location (US). And there was an option to prepay duties when selecting a shipping option. I don't even know why they have a Canadian location tbh delayed processing times of 4-6 weeks (pre-covid) is actually so long. I don't recommend for any Canadians to ship to COMC's Canadian location as it took COMC nearly 3 months to process my last submissions for auction.

You're putting words in my mouth. I think you missed the point.

You posted your just barely late shipment. There are many people in this thread who are waiting on premium shipments (myself included) that were ordered well ahead of yours. It's something that's been discussed ad nauseam in this thread and anywhere else COMC is discussed.

Despite all the shipping/customer service issues my sales continue to be phenomenal.

It's amazing that a business run so poorly can still have success.

You run good sales and have top notch inventory, I was looking over your port just yesterday.

A chunk of cards originally slated for "3 Week" processing, originally due April 13 (later pushed back to May 11) were added to my account in the last 24 hours.

They rejected a couple of 1990 Marvel Universe cards which depicted the Red Skull, because there were Swastikas in the background. Thus, the cards violated the ever-creeping goalposts of what constitutes "obscene and objectionable" material.

COMC does appear to still be processing cards where the players are on teams with names such as "Indians", "Redskins" and "Braves", so get those in while you can.

Do we think we will see anything less than the .50 submission fee going forward? I am clearing out a ton of stuff. I am probably down to only a couple 600 count boxes of cards eligible for COMC. That might become less at .50 threshold.

Next step is to go through a monster box of each sport and separate card to keep and trash the rest.

I would tend to doubt it. They might bring back the Basic processing, but then they'll probably keep the 50 cent price point.

I also think it's likely that at some point, they're going to further restrict what can be sent in, and also that they'll have a more involved submission process, where the sender identifies the card, indicates that they are submitting it, and has them in the box in a certain order. They might even come up with some way that the sender can print out the little slips of paper with the barcodes which COMC is adding to the outgoing cards.

At first, it might be that you get a discount or faster processing if you pre-identify / pre-sort the cards. But it might also be that the "discounted" rate is more than the 50 cents they charge.

I'm just going to treat the current 16 week 50 cent processing as "Normal", and submit stuff going forward. I wouldn't expect the "Good news! We're all caught up with our shipping and processing and can now reduce our prices" email to show up anytime soon.

Hmm, I'm just going from what is on the website and my own experience but it is possible that items that are already stored remotely at the Canadian location ship from that location to Canadian addresses - that would def save the stated 4-6 weeks transfer time.

That mirrors my feelings as well. Between this, wax and grading, I think the new normal is just going to be higher for everything across the board. At least until demand drops a bunch. Than it will just be limited time specials to boost traffic if needed. I am going to weed out already set aside cards and remove some that might no get .50 from COMC.

Thanks! COMC started as a place for me to sell a few unwanted cards. I never dreamed I would have thousands of cards and sell $1K+ per month.

Sales as always are strong...about a 15% dip which I also have a dip in my store, Ebay sales and a card show I did a couple weeks ago all around 10-20%...Which is still much higher than 2019 (Pre Covid).

Am I screwed because I selected economy? I almost wish there was a way to upgrade the shipping choice. I don't think I'll see these two packages until December.
