Three refunds sent so far this week - that is more than the previous eight months combined.

On a not as described i would not let ebay rule on it.

It seems to go in waves. I’ve had as many as 7 in a month and as few as zero in a month.

I had an item show up to me yesterday 4 days after it was marked "delivered"... just to show the nature of the tracking and further delays that are going on out there.

I get very few at all, with a pretty decent volume of sales. I have a feeling these have more to do with either people being impatient or dishonest...at least the three I dealt with this week.

Buyer card.scout2 opened a claim on me today on a delivered item. I loaded tracking and response. Buyer sends this message now.

The buyer sent you a message.

Buyer’s message: "I have two eBay accounts that ship with a standard envelope and I am familiar with the process. However, I did not receive this item. I had a buyer not receive a card that was scanned as delivered and I still sent a refund. I can get eBay involved on 12/21 if that's the route that you want to take. I am not out to scam anyone. All of my products are sourced by me in an honest way, I'm not trying to scam you out of a card."

So buyer knows he cannot win , but is still trying to.

Had an item shipped using eBay tracking. Got a return request saying the item hadn't arrived. Looked it up and, sure enough, it stopped updating after "Out for Delivery". Contacted eBay, gave them the tracking and they refunded the buyer out of their own pocket. Very satisfied with this result.

I would make sure the defect was removed as well. Many times when yhey pay they call it no fault and they pay but the defects remain

Definitely did that. The rep said that they're going to mark it as delivered in their system, so it shows up like nothing is wrong.

Also, got a message from the buyer today letting me know that the card was delivered. Gonna go ahead and let ebay know about that, so they can get their money back.

What's the current best way to setup shipping to use the standard envelope program?

I run a lot of single cards that and want to give it a shot again. I have had a few issues in the past with the standard envelope program including:

1. What happens if a card goes over the $20 limit? Is there a way to setup ebay so that if the card goes over the standard envelope program's limit it defaults to a second shipping option?

2. Combined shipping - what happens when someone wins 3 - 4 cards and they are too think to go into the standard envelope? Is there an automated way to fix this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Well for #1 if you are running auctions then you got more than you were expecting so take the hit on shipping and upgrade at your cost. Also remember you can write shipping off on taxes. Or just do BIN and set your price under $20. Auctions SUCK!

If an individual card goes over 20.pp then the system will usually not allow you to print a label. As far as auto upgrades on shipping cost there is nothing really there its also against ebay rules to charge more forcshipping than stated unless the buyer asks you to. I personally just eat it. I charge the same amount forcshipping no matter if its a 99 cent card or 50.00 card unless it needs special handling that i decide before i list it

2 same thing you can set a combined rate in your preferences but you may have to eat some of it

Those are two things I wouldn't sweat. They will happen but not often enough to make a difference, and in both cases you're getting a little more money than you expected to offset the cost. FWIW three cards in Card Saver fits fine in a PWE and I have no problem "risking" it with four. If you get the longer PWE you can fit two of those in one envelope.

My combined shipping method is $1 flat rate for PWE, win as many cards as you can. Any order over $20 upgrades to bubble mailer at no extra cost. I can't think of one time where I upgraded to bubble mailer where I wasn't happy with the sale.

Maybe I'm just turning into a grumpy old man but I've blocked a few sellers this month because of their best offer practices. Just time wasters.

I know it's a double edged sword accepting offers but I figure it's helped me when I'm priced too high and want to sell a card.

I have noticed in the last few weeks that the percentage of straight sales versus offers has been swinging the wrong direction. I'm also getting lots of stupid offers.

We all get there sooner or later.

So with the addition of the SE Program by EBAY it looks like it attributed for almost 70% of my sales for the year. SE In all has been a great program and I am still trying to keep up with listing more to reach 2000 listings. I hope everyone else is able to increase their sales as well.

FB says because it was damaged not because of a PWE.

I wanted to quickly update a question I had brought up before.

I had an envelope never show any sort of tracking update except that the label was printed. Ended up being for 2 cards and $15. The buyer said they didn't get it and I had to refund. Made the claim and I was reimbursed. So it looks like they will refund you even if you don't get any scan at all.

On a related note, for a package sent through Ebay's International Standard Delivery, it looks like the same exact form is used as the one for the Ebay Envelopes. Same process?
