Meijer is a lot harder to find than any other parallel. High grade? Even harder.

I disagree. There are probably more than 50 Meijers. Not by much, but it’s been my experience that they pop up a little more than Father’s Day and Mother’s Day. There are nine PSA 9 Meijers, only three PSA 9 Mother’s Days, and seven Father’s Days, plus one PSA 10. (No Meijer or Mother’s Day 10’s.) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

They do pop up a little more frequently, but rarely from a .99 let it ride auction. Most often they are set as BIN/BO and are at times the same card being sold.
Still, I’m glad to see that sale.

Baseball can really be a cruel game, and Vladdy is certainly seeing that for himself the past few games:
9/3/22 - 3rd AB: 106.6 exit velocity, .590 xBA ----> out 9/3/22 - 5th AB: 109.1 exit velocity, .610 xBA ----> out 9/4/22 - 4th AB: 111 exit velocity, .230 xBA ----> out 9/4/22 - 5th AB: 99.9 exit velocity, .520 xBA ----> out 9/5/22 - 2nd AB: 90.3 exit velocity, .530 xBA ----> out 9/6/22 - 1st AB: 106.3 exit velocity, .490 xBA ----> out 9/6/22 - 4th AB: 107.3 exit velocity, .900 xBA ----> out That's 7 outs that could've easily been 7 hits if they went a few inches to the left or a few inches to the right. But that's baseball

Are those hits taken away by shifts or just hard hits at a defender? I haven't seen much lately.

I can't speak for all of them, but I know the one yesterday was a diving catch by the LF, the first AB today was a one-hopper right back up the middle into the shift, and the latest AB today was hit dead-center but Mullins caught it with his back at the wall

He’s just not really getting the lift on the ball this year that he did last year. Easier said than done, if he can do that at a higher clip next year, than this year, he will be knocking on the 40 homers door again.
Who would’ve thought he might get to 10 steals before he gets to 30 homers! |

That doesn't discount some of his own challenges he has had, either with a drastically lower LA on average, much higher GB rate, higher chase rate etc. It's a multiple of things. And in spite of that he is having a good year comparatively speaking against others. He just has a very high bar. It's good he has such high expectations around him, shows how many people (fans, media, teammates, coaches, experts) think his talent and ability is really really high. |
