Had many cards (mostly foils) that were completely creases or had a weird edging imprint issue at the top which kinda sucks but not going to complain as the hits above were all in great condition!

Best cards were Morgan Best XI and Press/Turnbow Beachwood. 2 Astrals, both Nicoli. Autos were Mewis and Hopkins. Pretty meh.

Just finished breaking 10 boxes. Still sorting, but got lucky with Sophia Smith Linjer, and three variant photo cards: Sophia Smith, Moultrie, and Rapino.

I got very lucky and pulled the Rodman Relic BUT it was sticking out of the pack when it went through the "wrapper sealer" and has crimp marks all along the top. A beautiful card, and I've reached out to Parkside to see if a replacement is possible.

Also got enough Kick Off for a full set.

Pulled three Americana mini cards (2 from the same box).

Probably very close on a full chrome AND black and white base set.

Very impressed with the Astral and Beautiful Game cards.

Chrome/Foil cards are all very shiny and seem to be of higher quality than years past. Unlike last years cards, I'm not sure why shimmer cards are called shimmer. In other sports they'd be called "rainbows."

Maybe it's because I'm not as familiar with the players on this year's Signature Series checklist, but none of the autos got me excited.

Sadly, not a single Promising Prospect or Vintage card in the bunch. Are those super rare this year?

The last card in many packs, across all boxes, had a small notch/ding in the top center of the card on the back.

Many packs have several rookie cards, but some packs have none.

All in all I'm pretty pleased (we'll see what happens with the Rodman). Better quality, sharper corners, and seemingly better collation.

I'll probably buy a few hanger boxes to see if I have better luck with Prospects and Vintage.

Parkside Instagram reports hanger packs are good to go on sale today in retail outlets. They warn that not all stores will actually get them out on display that soon.
Very glad there are no store exclusive parallels this year, so it won't matter where you buy.

Apparently there was a communication issue with the printer/packaging and it appears vintage will be retail only. Hobby only has PP /25 and /1, retail will have normal unnumbered PP apparently.

Probably depends on what kind of cards you're seeking.

8 retail packs of 25 cards ea at $9.95 = $80 for 200 cards
(based on last year's config)
vs
One Hobby box at $85 for 160 cards.

That's more cards for less money if you go with retail (and don't care about guaranteed autos).

More parallels/hits in a retail pack (4 or 5?) than in a hobby pack (3).
Standard Vintage and Prospect cards in retail that you won't get in hobby.

I put a base set together from one hobby box + one fat pack box of Donruss 2022-23

With a 180 card base, and only 100 base in one box, it'd take at least two boxes. But yes, you'd think out of 1000 cards I'd have built at least one.

Did 12 boxes. Thompson auto, Golden Boot Morgan, 3 photo variation ssps, 0 promising prospects, 0 linjers, unsure on sets yet. I got 3x2 of the same auto in the 15 I got. Would have been cool if it was Thompson, but it was 3x stiffs. I feel it was a good rip overall. I might do 12 more to test the odds.
